Songs that soothe the soul

I know, I know, another thread for music but this one I hope is different. This is about songs that soothe the soul. For me it's Nordic, Viking, Irish music. Their music is so achingly beautiful that it literally touches something deep inside me, let's me feel a calmness deep within.
But my kind of soul searching music isn't for everyone so I'm curious. What's yours?

Great thread Elayne! Your first song choice is a fond memory for @~Elizabeth~ and I. It was one of the first lullabies we enjoyed together. I share one with her every night. I was looking for a variety of international lullabies and found that one. I love it! (I'm also a fan of Celtic music.)

Here is an album by Jewel titled "Lullaby." If you haven't heard of it, you might enjoy many of the songs on it.

It's hard to explain but there's just something about the Celtic music that draws and captivates me deep down.

No I've never heard of Jewel before and it's beautiful, very soothing music, will definitely add this to my collection. Thank you.

Power ballads from bands that are better known for their heavier rock or metal songs. I'm not talking about the power ballad days at the end of the 1990s with the last remaining hair bands trying to hang on in the face of grunge, though I like many of those, too.

I won't make multiple replies just to post videos, so I'll give the titles and artists of some I really like and you can hunt them down if you want:

"Walk on the Water" -- Dare
"Hallowed Ground" -- W.A.S.P.
"Alone" -- Judas Priest
"Someday" -- Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"A Tale That Wasn't Right" -- Helloween
I have many, many more songs like this (and a few that aren't really heavy rock but still fit the bill IMO) in a long, long playlist on Spotify.
OH, and just to toss this in, instrumental Chinese music played on traditional instruments.

Ok. There's a video. It's a redo of their song from earlier in their career, but this version just broke me. It reaches right in, tears my metal heart out, and hands it back to me stronger and braver than before.

Good songs there, one of my favorite bands was Def Leppard. Pour some sugar on me was one of my favorites from them.

I got to see them on the "Pyromania" and "Hysteria" tours. Some friends from college and I drove over two hours to see them. Probably one of the best shows and times I had in my feral youth.
