Just have a minute, storms are coming in and the lights are flickering so have to get off here quickly. I just talked to Jacqline and she made it there ok. Her daughter and son in law are at work and the baby is at the nanny's. She has slept alot due to only getting couple hrs sleep before the flight. She has not got to see the baby or family yet, should be home soon. She said that she will try to call me tomorrow night with an update. She said that when they get there she will be sure and give the baby lots of kisses and hugs for everyone! Lightning is striking, thunder is roaring, the skies are dark. And I am out of here. I just talked to Jacqline. She said that everything is good there. She said that the baby has learn to kiss and is just the sweetest little thing. The baby has to go in for some pre-op procedures on Monday and she hopes that she will be able to go with them. She also said to tell everyone hi and that she appreciates all the prayers and hugs. She said that they are keeping the baby strong.

I am so sorry that I didn't realize sooner that this thread existed. I should have known that someone as wonderful and caring as you would think of this. Thank you, love.

I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers and love. I am touched beyond words. I would like to let you in on what is going on since you are so kind to be unconditionally praying for her.

My sweet little angel of a granddaughter was born seven months ago. She could not breathe through her nose so she had to have her first surgery the day after she was born. She lives in Denver (it breaks my heart for her to be so far away from me) but I did get to spend a week with them when she was a month old. We bonded like you would not believe. They came to Seattle when she was five months old for her christening and spent a few days with me and our bond got even stronger. It was then that my daughter and son in law told me that they found out that our sweetheart has a hole in her heart. They told me that she would need open heart surgery in a few months but had no idea exactly when. I booked a flight then and hoped it would be around the right time.

As it turns out, I will be able to spend the week with them and the day I come home is the day she actually goes into surgery. I should be able to be there for my daughter through part or most of the surgery. My daughter and son in law are both doctors, so sometimes I think it is almost worse because they know more and, at times ignorance can be bliss.

I will hold her again this coming Wednesday. I have known from the first time I held her that this child is meant for great things. Sometimes we have to go through hard things first to understand more of life and figure out what we are here to do. She is gaining her strength early in life.
