Star Craft 2 RP

great... btw... alright...

100 personnel
20-30 vehicles/ships

that's a suitable limitation for a mercenary group/dominion fleet/protoss fleet/zerg fleet :)

I was just thinking the same thing..pilots, crew chiefs, technicians, security, and supply people.

Being an old Robotech lover....I'm going to go with a Viking unit about 30 vehicles. Sound good?

sounds good... alright

the ic is going well in paper... just have to add a few more stuff and post my character in.

Michael "Blade" Forrester

Name: Michael "Blade" Forrester
Picture: None as of now
Allegiance: Terran - Free Planets
Rank/Position: Ex-Lieutenant & Commander of the mercenary group "StormBlade"
Planet Located in Primarily: Haven
Background:
Michael was one of the marines who went on the expedition to Char to defeat the Queen of Blades. On Char, he was separated from his squadron when his drop-pod's navigation system was fried. Avoiding the zerg as much as possible, he stumbled upon a squad of marines heavily outnumbered against a horde of zerg. As he rushed to aid the marines, Michael was ambushed from behind by a Hydralisk. As the Hydralisk was about to bite his head, Michael unsheathed his combat knife and plunged it into the Hydralisk's head. Just then, Jim Raynor and his men arrived to aid the marines. As Jim Raynor lifted the carcass of the Hydralisk off Michael's, he mentioned that Michael's senses were as sharp as his blade for being able to act under pressure, which led to him being called as "Blade". After that, he actively participated actively against the zerg which led to him being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant by General Warfield.

Upon the completion of the Char campaign, Michael returned to Korhal were he was transferred to the Battle Cruiser, Vermillion. Their first mission was on the planet, Haven, where refugees were refusing to acknowledge their allegiance to the Dominion and whom the Dominion Fleet viewed as an example to the others who broke off from the Dominion. Arriving at Haven, Michael's and his squad was sent to infiltrate Haven, by his commanding officer to locate the possible leader of Haven. After spending a week there, he finally figured out that Dr. Ariel Hanson was the pseudo-leader of Haven. Upon returning to report to his commanding officer, he was aghast to find out that they were planning to nuke the entire planet. Knowing that he was committing mutiny, he killed his commanding officer which sparked a bitter confrontation among the personnel. With the aid of his friends, Michael was able to contain the rebellion within the Battle Cruiser.

Contacting Dr. Ariel Hanson, Michael's offered the services of his men in protecting Haven from any future Dominion assaults. When the Dominion heard of his actions, he was branded a traitor but the Dominion Fleet was unable to arrest him due to the increasing dissension within the Dominion which made it difficult to manage. Renaming the Battle Cruiser, Freedom, Michael's and his men take the lead in the fight for the freedom to live in peace.

Zeladar

Name: Zeladar

Picture: None

Allegiance: Protoss

Rank: Executor

Primary Base of Operations: Unknown

Background:
Like with most of Zeladar’s kind, the Dark Templar - and the Protoss in general - very little is known about the first 190 years of his life. A survivor of Shakuras, Zeladar was one of the youngest Dark Templar to fight in defense of his home world.

In the years following the Battle of Shakuras, during Prelate Zeratul’s self-imposed exile, the Dark Templar consulted with their long estranged Aiur brethren and an exchange of ideas, teachings, and technology took place. From this exchange, the Dark Templar saw a need for them to establish a standing fleet of their own, rather than their more traditional tribal structure. But this Dark Templar fleet would not be like any other Protoss fleet; it would take the very traits that distinguish the Dark Templar from the rest of their Khala brethren, and put them on a much larger scale.

While setting up the fleet, the Dark Templar elders felt that it was not their place to take direct command of something so drastically different from what they had practiced for millennia. Instead, they decided that it was the job of a younger Protoss, one less set in their ways, one more open to a different way of thinking. After long deliberation, the elders chose Zeladar, one of the youngest, yet highly experienced warriors the Dark Templar had to offer, to lead the new fleet – a choice that the elders hope will carry not only the Dark Templar, but all Protoss, into a new, brighter future.

Less than a month after the fleet had been finalized, Zeladar found himself, and his fleet, in high orbit over the Zerg stronghold of Char, having been drawn there by the power of the Xel’Naga artifact that the Terrans had recently used. Unnoticed by the regrouping Terran fleet, Zeladar watched in awe as he reviewed intercepted reports from the Terrans about what had just transpired on that world…about their astounding victory over the ravenous Zerg Swarm and the rumors of the redemption of the infamous Queen of Blades.

Deciding that the Swarm was no longer a major concern, Zeladar turned his attention on the Terrans, for they were potentially even more dangerous than the Zerg, due to their natural tenaciousness and unpredictability. To this end, Zeladar dispatched Observer drones to every corner of Terran space, from the most backwater worlds to Korhal itself, in an attempt to gauge the status of Terran might. What Zeladar finds is a race in the midst of civil turmoil, if not outright civil war, as fringe worlds, inspired by James Raynor (a name well known to and respected by all Protoss), fight for their freedom and independence against the Terran Dominion lead by the tyrannical Arcturus Mengsk.

Now, drifting through space, how will Zeladar lead his fleet? Will he sit back and watch as the Terrans fight amongst themselves or will he engage them as friend or foe?

Gabriel Thorn

Name: Gabriel "Gabe" Thorn
Photo: http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/darkwolf_383/Terran-Marine_86x100.gif
Allegiance: Terran
Rank: Private

History:
Gabriel Thorn enlisted to the Armed Forces straight out of High School. Getting drafted into the Marine Core he completed his training and graduation day found him top of his class, but with a tendency to avoid any leadership responsibilities. Having an unparalleled and unexplainable hate for the Zerg, his anger have surprised many of his squad members, some describing him even as "a suicidal maniac". It has been reported that during one skirmish Gabe ran out of ammunition and he tore into the Zerg ranks with nothing but a battlefield knife.

Having been decorated many times, yet never showing up for any of the ceremonies, he have refused any kind of promotion, staying at the rank of Private and even the most callous and authoritative officers could not break his view that he was not made to lead or be honored. After a few short years they have found that Gabe is best used as a blunt weapon, sent in to kill and destroy, for he would rather sit in a detention cell than he would ever change his views or receive any medals or promotion

Deathknight, kindly edit your character sheet to follow the previous format...

BTW... are there NO FEMALE writers interested here??? :D

oh well... i GUESS we could skip the sexual aspect and concentrate on building up a great thread...

but still... where are the female writers for this thread

Quick question. The IC do I start Rping from my point of view or do I wait to get mentioned or tagged?

mentioned

your mentioned... I'll post my point of view as soon as possible... btw... (spoiler) your arrival was noted by the sensors of the battleship but only for 1 second because of the damage during the battle within the battle cruiser... so your relatively safe to rp as much, btw... still... anyone want to play as Dr. Ariel??? because i'm going to take command of the Dominion Fleet command structure... also i NEED someone to play 2 Dominion ghost's if possible so that they can investigate the protoss and zerg respectively. if not... i could always send another fleet to check up on the zerg and protoss... only 3-4 writers... hope we get more :D

Sorry for a blond moment I forgot that I am Gabriel Thorn. RP posted and I did take care of the landing part :D

I will need a bit of a lead here, I hate infiltration games because I'm not really good at sneaking about. What should I do? Try to seduce a ranking officer? :D

hahaha so far ALL high-ranking officers are male... so no go with the seduction BUT you could take the hint about the ceremony in my post and go and check it out... also plot-wise, Jim Raynor is NOT in Haven :D

note, Michael Forrester is WANTED by the Dominion... and also... there are is an -uncontrolled zerg force in the area. sword... don't bother with that group since it will soon meet its end.

I have two ways of getting in. Talk to your character and also say that I would be interested in joining the defense. My excuse would be to have a bit more protection when I am out collecting samples :D

spoiler alert :D
the zerg will destroy the vulture scouting party *sob sob* :( and then attack the ceremony... that way... Mike and John avoids the party YEHEY. lol

:D

sure... but dont act out my part... make your post long... and also make sure you do your assigned task... find jim raynor.

If I may ask, about how large would you say the Zerg force on Haven is?

The attack will make it much easier for Thorn to get into the defense forces. Fabulous. Will wait for that attack.

But remember, Thorn doesn't know the attack is coming. So he can't very well wait for it to happen before making his move. Just a word of advice from a veteran. :)

Yes but remember he is willing to kill a Zerg with his bare hands so he will probably gather weapons from fallen marines and wade into the Zerg and maybe even save a life or two. I meant that I'll wait for the attack so that I can write his part of killing Zerg and gaining the trust and access that he needs to continue his search for Raynor.

Okay, that works.

Ah, darn. It appears that Lans logged off for a bit. I kinda wanted a response to my question earlier about the size of the Zerg force on Haven, so that I could decide what Zeladar will do in my post.

zerg force??? oh about

200 zergling
50 Hydralisk
and 2 ultralisk

against....

32 Marines, 2 siege tanks (elevated so it's safe), Captain Blade, Lieutenant Stone, and 20 Volunteer Haven Security forces (Civilians with guns)

with

600 civilians...

who will win, i wonder... :)

realistically speaking i would go for the zerg... but the two officers are extremely talented, on par with jim raynor and tychus... except... they aren't wearing their marine outfits (that includes you Gabe, besides a researcher DOESN'T need a marine outfit)... it will take real planning on my part to fix up everything so that it's both realistic and plausible for the terrans to win... with minimal casualties... civilian wise... the marines... well...

oh yeah... in hindsight, the the 3rd fleet cannot orbit the system where Haven is on, because it will attract attention... also...
