Star Craft 2 RP

follow the guideline to those participating in the battle

Gabe, no go. you'll have to make do with combat armor. since you won't have time to suit up when zerg is all around us

My drawing SUCKS, but you get the idea :)

Red lines are the New Haven Defense lines
the Big Block is the city hall
The Circle is the fountain
The rectangles are the elevated platforms
Green circles are the Terminator Siege Tank

There are two routes, it's a pincer attack :)

I'll start out the battle soon... ^^ This battle is gonna be big... considering its so early

btw, Jedi. are your scout's modified??? because they do have a set limit of energy... unless you modified them to remain invisible indefinitely

note: excuse the drawing but you can understand it right

Haven defenders are getting some help. The Scout figthers will do strafing runs on the Zerg and the Warp Prisms will drop 4 Immortals and 2 Colossi, as well as allowing for 10 Dark Templar to warp in directly to the battlefield. And just a note about the Protoss forces, they are all cloaked, so aside from the odd glimpse of shrapnel bouncing off their shields, the evidence of Zerg dying by means other than Terran weapon fire, and the sounds of the fighters doing their strafing runs and the Immortals and Colossi firing, the Protoss units cannot be seen. Maybe some rippling of light and disturbance in the smoke can be seen by the more observant Terrans.

About the positioning of the Protoss units: the 2 Immortals on each approach, 1 Colossus above each set of tanks, and 5 Dark Templars on each approach as well.

Yeah, all the units in Zeladar's fleet are modified so that they can remain cloaked indefinitely as needed. Normally, only the Protoss Observer and Dark Templar are cloaked units, but Zeladar's fleet is special like that.

not much of a problem with the battle and the terran spotting your troops considering it's clear. the strafing run will be construed to be because of the siege tanks although "We Know Better". lolz

everything is getting ready... btw... Gabriel's group is located in front of the fountain, Johnson is at the west entrance, and michael is on the east entrance.

May the Heavens grant the zerg release :)

It would probably be a little hard to explain the lasers sweeping across the Zerg formations from something like 60 ft in nothing but open air above the siege tanks. I want at least Michael to notice that he's getting some unexpected help, hence why I listed the things that would give away the presense of the Protoss units.

I think he more likely would have read reports on them, being consumed with the Zerg as he is

Exactly yes. No experience with the Protoss unless he came across them while fighting Zerg, which would be possible if he served in the first wars, thingy that StarCraft I was about

Okay, so he's due for being impressed, unless he did serve during the first war some 4-5 years before this thread.

Hmmmm I think let's keep him ignorant to the Protoss, would make it so much more fun.

Just a question though, if there is good intentions would that mean that he could actually befriend the Protoss or would they do the snobby thing and just not talk to the inferior human?

Would depend on the Protoss. Some don't understand the Terran language (Blizzard never mentions that, but it makes sense) and would probably look at him funny if he tried to talk to them. As for Zeladar...well, he wouldn't exactly be snobby, he'd probably just play the "Older Than Thou" and "I'm not Human" cards when needed.

Plus, doing something for the Protoss helps. That's how Jim Raynor came to be in their good graces: he helped them defend Aiur from the Zerg.

Well hope that I can do that. I've been thinking of turning Thorn against the Dominion (could be a spoiler or just a character development) when he sees that what done was done for a good reason.

I would have thought that there would be some kind of translator for Protoss and Terrans by now LOL

Anyway I'm going home. Been working two hours overtime and I rather tired. Don't run too far with the story I still want to be able to say something :D

Blizzard never indicates that the Protoss and the Terrans speak different languages, nor how the Protoss speak at all (they don't have mouths as far as we know), so a official translator was never needed. But I would think that the Protoss may have developed a translator, and have pretty much stated that in an eariler post.

And don't worry about being left behind - we first need Lans online to do that. ;)

Hey, I just noticed something...Gabe still senses the presence of the Cerebrate that's on Agria while Gabe is on Haven. He must be one hell of a psyhic. I wonder why the Dominion didn't recruit him as a Ghost.

Because he never talks about it. He thinks that if he tells anybody about it he will be locked up in the loonie bin or worse become a lab rat, he never thought that he would be recruited into the Ghost program

The Dominion is very thorough in testing its citizens for psyhic potential. Hell, they even advertise to parents that if they are experiencing paranormal occurances, it just might be their psyhic kids, and are encouraged to enroll their kids in the Ghost program ASAP.

;) like I said he never talks about it, Thorn may be a blunt instrument but by no means is he stupid

Also he is just sensitive to the Zerg, but that will come out with character development

I believe we went over this a day or two ago. It's all well and good that he can sense Zerg within maybe a 5 km radius. In fact, that's more plausable than sensing Zerg on the other side of the planet, let alone on a planet that's light years away.

Yes but we also said that he could pick up the Cerebrate scanning the zerg on the planet. He just knows it's a Cerebrate, he doesn't know where it is he just know there is one

Of course that also means that he will not be able to tell anybody about the Cerebrate because who would believe him?

Uhh...hmm. It seems you did a little interpreting. Oh well. We can keep that "detecting the Cerebrate's scans" thing for another time, but unless Sword said somewhere that he was scanning Haven and I missed it, I don't think the Cerebrate is doing that.

Where the hell is Lans, anyway?
