Origins? No one is really sure on the origins of the Hybrids, aside from the fact that they are a result of genetically combining a Zerg and a Protoss. Who created them is also a bit of a mystery. But sure, the battle scene will be fine.

Oh well. Too bad I missed out on what you had posted before you noticed my reminder. I'm willing to bet it was awesome.

Tip: Keep an eye on both the OOC and IC (i.e., keep refreshing every few minutes) just in case someone posts before you do that will have an impact on what you post. A separate window or tab is quite handy for that purpose.

Yeah, hold onto that for now. Lans might come back and say "Wait...I was supposed to intro the hybrid?" Then we all laugh and go on our merry way.

Of course, it doesn't help that he seemingly contradicted himself. First he said you would intro the hybrid, then he said he would. So...yeah. Fun times.

Oh, and by the way...the arrival of the Hybrid will pull Zeladar himself into the fight. He's a bit of a badass and a daredevil. It should be great.

Nah, it's fine. Adds a bit of dramatic tension. It's like "Oh noes! He's gonna die!" Then it's "Dat-d-dat-da! Awesomeness to the rescue!"

btw... where is a great spot for Dr. Ariel Hanson hold out... im thinking her ex-lover's place... joke

it's going to have to be the science complex which is right next door except it's accessible ONLY through the center highway of the city... i think the zerg took the wrong exit or something

btw, DK, the rest of the marines will arrive on site, bringing four vultures, which the 12 marines (Michael, Johnson, and ten high ranking marines) will leave for the governor

leaving you in command of... 259 militia, 2 terminator siege tanks (the rest are unmanned [don't you just love technology, i'll explain this in a bit]), 4 marines (injured, tired, and low on ammo), 40 new haven security forces, 40 marines (freshly suited up), 5 goliaths, & 2 Immortals, 5 Dark Templar, and a Colossus on each flank (invisible and unmanned by me, so it's up to Jedi if he wants to stay in the fight or save a beautiful doctor... slash governor... slash experimenting on zerg and protoss DNA)

and surprise surprise... Gabe is in charge of the terran force, must be because Johnson wouldn't ever leave Michael in a ditch... considering that the surviving zerg are:

100 zerglings
30 hydralisks
3 Ultralisks

all heading towards the science complex meanwhile a large... very large... very very very large... and invisible zerg-protoss hybrid is attacking gabe (Dominion) and the Haven "army".

oh and jedi... focus your help on DK... i want to kill off the ten none-important marines... in a horrible fashion im sick... i know

the zerg are located in an 8 floor science complex (4 above ground, 4 below ground).

the reasons for the 2 unmanned terminator tanks is that the zerg-protoss hybrid killed the terrans inside using one of its many many unknown attacks... i was thinking a very loud roar that pierced through the driver's ears and blew up their brains (im down with a fever btw, but so what! i love writing) of the two terminator tanks who DID not wear their protective head gear

DK do me a favor... make sure that battle involves the destruction of the 5 goliaths... i want to have a reason for Van to join the StormBlades

Wait...what? Dr. Hanson is experimenting with Zerg and Protoss DNA? Sacrilege!

The Hybrid is invisible? Well, good thing there's a Protoss Observer overhead. It can detect stealth. However, I don't think the Hybrids are capable of stealth, especially this particular breed of Hybrid. As for the roar, I would think that maybe an acid attack or very powerful smash attack would be in its repertoire, not a roar attack that scrambles the victim's brains. The roar might have a stun and/or cower in fear effect, but not a lethal effect.

As for the Protoss, none of the forces already on the ground will be aware of the Hybrid, I don't think. And even if they were, they probably wouldn't make it there in time. So, I'm thinking that they might go clean-up what Zerg still remain alive.

... not exactly messing around with the dna... remember that cure she was making? they never explored that "tiny" detail of curing infected terran...

and yeah that fact about the hybrid... that might work... but still those tanks will remain relatively undamaged

They effectively said that there was no cure aside from cleansing fire. The Zerg virus just mutated way too fast for there to be a viable cure. So, yeah, they did cover that "tiny" detail.

In fact, it was Dr. Hanson herself who proclaimed that. However, she did also proclaim that she would never give up on trying to find a cure. And it turns out that the Protoss are immune to the Zerg infestation virus, with Blizzard giving the reason for the immunity being the Khala - the communal mindlink of the Protoss and the source of much of their psionic abilities.

Jedi you know my RP, could that be the first part of the Hybrid battle and then in the next RP I finish it up with the arrival of the Terrans and the destruction of the Goliaths?

Hm...I would probably suggest combining it all into one. Maybe have the reinforcements arrive while Gabe is searching the armory (lots of junk to sift through), and he hears the hope of the battered soldiers at the sight of the fresh troops and the Goliaths over the comm, he decides to go out for a moment to watch, only to have his hopes and those of the battered troops crushed just as flat as the Goliaths. He then returns to searching the armory with renewed vigor, and then we go from there with what you already have.

An equatable solution, yes? It moves things along, sets up the scene, and I can give Lans a chance to post up his part before Zeladar takes action.

The only question remaining is who delivers the killing blow to the Hybrid?

Tell ya what, I can probably set it up in such a way that makes it seem like Gabe got in the killing blow, but in actuallity it was just an assist, as it'll probably be discovered upon examination of the Hybrid's corpse that there are some severe wounds on it that are obviously not from Terran weapons. We can work out the finer details once we get to that point.
