Star Craft 2 RP

I've been wondering the same thing. Usually by now he would be here typing up a storm and talking to you and telling me what I did wrong :D

Well I'm talking half day off.

I think Thorn is a low level empath who can sense other species. So the new feeling would be the Protoss, he just doesn't know it yet.

Fine by me on Gabe being a low level empath. Should work pretty well.

Have fun with your half-day off. I know I'll be having fun.

what do you mean the east side has fallen? that's being handled by veterans and led by an ex-hero of the dominion, Captain Michael "Blade" Forrester, one of the few terrans that could kill a hyrdralisk in melee combat... and 2nd most wanted man in the Dominion

just for that i'm going to do something very horrible to you... also im still going to do something horrible to your character for starting the post, i told you i would start the battle.

i would normally suggest THAT you edit that post... but i'll let it go... btw... the east side did not fall, it just moved forward and so will the west side... leaving the majority of the militia stationed AT city hall... and then... the extremely horrible event will happen...

it's good to be the boss :devil:

btw... Gabe does NOT join the mercenary group, by order of Dr. Ariel Hanson. INstead, he get's promoted to train the militia, but be warned... what would an ecologist know about military matters (muttered by one of the militia's).

also... I bet some of you wondered who controlled the zerg in Haven... :) note to Gabe: you cant win that fight... but make the fight end in such a climactic ending then Jedi can finish it off

Hey, don't forget the Protoss. They'll be showing up a few minutes into the battle.

Besides, cut the kid some slack. I already chewed him out for Gabe sensing the Cerebrate on Agria while he's on Haven. He's just eager, that's all. He'll figure things out pretty quick, provided we don't scare him away.

First line. You have two lines of defense on the East Side. But hey let me just DELETE the post then you are free to do as you please. HA! And yes I am eager, I love to write and if it doesn't suit you just tell me what you want edited or written and I'll do what I can.

Yes I am cranky, I didn't get my time off so now I want to write something...anything....

dont delete

just edit your post to incorporate Johnson leaving you in charge of the militia...

plot-wise, the two sides will push forward leaving you to take charge of the defense of city hall when majority of the zerg push towards the undefended shelters in the east and west side... and then the leader of the zerg arrive at city hall... a zerg-protoss hybrid :) have fun posting that fight, death. i'll post the battle within a few hours... im also cranky :) also... the reinforcements arrive DURING that fight with the hybrid... and depending on the answer to the facial surgery, the marines will either recognize you as a competent soldier (and think you also left the dominion) OR you'll take charge of them. i'll leave that to you

to death: you will be the military advisor of the governor...

and also... did gabe get facial surgery or not?

I edited my offending post

Gabe was picked for his close resemblance to Kevin James, but because he only looked close he had to undergo surgery to look exactly like him. He was coached and trained for months to act like James and to know the majority of James' life. What caught Gabe by surprise is that James never mentioned that he has friends and that there is a lady who is interested in him.

I hope that military adviser comes after the battle and not during because that I can't really can't write into a RP and make it plausible.

Also where can I find more info on a Zerg/Protoss hybrid? I have to know what I'm up against before I can write a battle with it

its not offending, you just jumped the gun. and yes, it's after the battle because of your exemplary battle against that hybrid... hmmm information regarding protoss and zerg hybrid... jedi? any hints?

The Zerg/Protoss hybrids look a lot like the Protoss Archons, and they vary a bit. Some look more like the Archon (a ball of energy with a structure resembling a body floating inside), others look like an Archon without the ball of energy plus legs. The ones with legs are more Zerg, while the ones without are more Protoss. The Zerg Hybrids have a lot of hp and no shields, while the Protoss ones do have shields.

They are tough as hell and even Jim Raynor doesn't want to fight them. I think the reason he gave in game is that Terran weapons would be useless. Of course, all he had with him at the time were Marines and Maruaders.

As described in an earlier OCC post, the Hybrids combine the best of both the Zerg and the Protoss. This means that they can possess incredible psionic abilities, including the ability to randomly teleport a short distance in a blink of an eye, pick up and crush units of almost any size with just their mind, among other tricks. However, it is the Protoss Hybrids that are most likely to use the psionic abilities. The Zerg ones will probably just smash anything in their path.

Aside from what has already been stated, the Hybrids are a complete mystery, and I think that this would probably be the either the first or second Hybrid encouter for both the Protoss and the Terrans.

Actually, consider it the first encounter because the true first encouters happened pretty much in secret; Zeratul had to deal with one in his search for an interpretation on some prophetic fragments he found during his travels, and Jim Raynor ran away from one on a top secret Dominion lab somewhere in space.

So, to sum things up for ya, DK, you're in for one hell of a beat down. Good thing the Protoss are there.

Will have to make it a Zerg Hybrid then.

This fight will take a lot to think about. Oh and I'll be able to post it Monday. I don't work in this shop Sundays so I won't be able to post anything until Monday.

Hahaha I think Thorn will be swearing and wishing for his suit during this battle.

So Lans your IC will start the battle and end where I must write about the battle between Thorn and the hybrid? And of course Thorn can't win the fight, he never met a Protoss so he doesn't know anything about it.

What do you think?

Name: Jorin "Black Flag" Anderson
Picture: None @ this time
Allegiance: Terran - Free Planets
Rank/Position: "Acting" Unit commander
Planet Located in Primarily: Haven

What did you do during the war grandpa? I stole, dealt drugs, disobeyed orders, and when I had time I killed a lot of the enemy. The judge thought the military would straighten me right out, and I can still remember it today. A fifteen year sentence or life in the military. In retro speck I think the jail time might have been the better bet. They didn't give me much time to think about it though, I barely said sure and there was an officer there swearing me in and all that. Thing was they didn't realize how damn good I was with tools. My grandfather was a hell of a technical and my father was a field engineer. It didn't take long for them to make me a crew chief.

So, I'm doing my thing working on the Vikings, great piece of machinery I might add, and make a little on the side. Now look people can gripe, but people like me have been with armies since the dawn of time. You give aid and comfort to the guys on the line and they fight better. Some battle drugs will turn them into savage animals, and some of the other stuff will help them relax, I'm no pharmacist, but I know what works.

Games of chance everyone loves them and hell they'd do them anyway so why not organize things. The girls not as easy, but well when you put your mind to it anythings possible. A transport container can easily be outfitted with environmental controls and sleeping quarters. After that a bar and some massage rooms are easy. Stripper poles and a boxing ring well took a little longer, but my talent is salvage. You'd be amazed how much stuff goes missing or is just thrown out. I have a cache of more stuff than most supply units right now. Every thing from spare parts for the vehicles to ammunition to playing cards, beer, and luxury preserved Terran meals. Oh there is war booty too.

Now back to combat, thing is when you learn all about a weapons system you eventually learn how to use it in a round about way. Also the things need to be tested, moved, and you have to see if your repair worked. So over time I began learning how to fly the spare vehicles, and you don't need to be an officer to fly technically. That's how it started, filling in for guys on routine patrols, escorting other units, and before you know it when the alarm sounds your running for your vehicle.

I got some kills and even managed to pickup some decorations, not bad for a guy whose only supposed to be a mechanic. When they got close I picked up all kinds of small arms and other weapons that can inflict some nasty damage. Also if you want to steal you can do anything you want, but don't steal from me. I have shotgun for dealing with unwanted intruders.

The unit only officially has a 100 people on its rolls, but that figure has fluctuated up and down. I mean we lost a number of officers so I had to throw trainees into cockpits and sometimes some of my guys. Soon I ended up being the one everyone looked too. The unit functions inspire of itself sometimes I think.

I've got guys who for all intensive purposes should just be moving crates around working as mechanics, mechanics flying the vehicles along with kids who have just gotten off of simulators, and I've got hookers in uniforms (barely) guarding my supplies. It's all good though, I mean mercenary companies used to work like this back in the day.

"acting" unit commander???

hmmmm haven has no centralized military unit... also... when you say military... do you mean in the Dominion?? and if you were in the dominion, how did you leave it for haven?? just checking up.

btw... im screwed up. my hard drive crashed... good bye... dead rising 2.. damn... oh well, i'll just start from scratch from the battle

just realized the Terminator siege tanks are useless for the Stormblades because of their positions... Damn!!! hahahaha

Hard drive crashes is one of the sadest tales that can be told, especially when you have a lot of important information on it

Sorry to hear about your hard drive...I've had it happen and lost games and important files. It just sucks.

The Dominion I guess those are the humans right? Not sure to be honest just thought we were starting up where ever we were....I'll gladly take suggestions and make changes.

There are three races in Star Craft: Terrans (humans), Protoss, and Zerg. Within the Terran race, there are two main factions currently: The Dominion and the Free Planets. The Dominion is the major power among Terrans, but that power is quickly shifting elsewhere. The Free Planets, specifically Haven in this situation, are splinter groups with no formal military to speak of, relying mostly on mercenaries for protection. The Free Planets used to be part of the Dominion, but with a recent scandal involving the Dominion Emperor, Arctrus Mengsk, having come to light, the Free Planets rebelled and drove out the Dominion forces from their worlds. Almost all the Free Planets were on the outskirts of Terran space, where the Dominion's influence and power was weakest.

If your character is with the Dominion, he'll be starting out somewhere other than Haven; most likely some Dominion military base or staging point. However, if you want your character to be more of a mercenary, he can start out on Haven or anywhere else. He'll either be unemployed for the moment or on contract somewhere. Your choice.

And I have a question about your unit: "100 people on its rolls"? What exactly does that mean? 100 Viking units or 100 Viking units including support personel, i.e. 10-20 Viking units + 80 support personel?
