Ben

I slept long, how long I couldn't tell. I awoke to the sudden vibration fo the pod. I opened my eyes and read the data readout to see that I was entering a planet's atmosphere at as fast rate. I'd survive the entrance, and possibly the descent...but what planet was I on?
THe vibrating became more violent as I descended, seeing many more of the Borg pods entering the atmosphere around me as I went. Could this be a Borg Home planet, I wondered?

Savok entered the lounge and sat at a table. He would eat before the briefing in the ready room. The Vulcan set the PADD on the table in front of him. Someone asked him what he wanted. Savok ordered some soup, not even looking up to see who had spoken to him. He was sure someone had spoken to him, a female, and he placed the voice as belonging to Astra. He also had no wish to offend her, but he must finish his briefing notes while he ate.

The soup arrived. Savok thanked whomever it was that sat it before him. He again did not look up. He picked up the spoon in his left hand, his right hand occupying the PADD as he read what he had entered.

Argos.

"I want all checks to the starboard wing. Let's make sure we're not leaking anything. Everything in there should be shut off, and acessed. With any luck we can build a new nacell."
He chuckled on the inside. Yeah, maybe in a year or so.
He began running diagnostic checks on everything. Most convertors, emmitors, and transformers were blown. The ship was running at the absolute minimum. Which was bad, really bad.
Repairs would be made though. Emmitors and convertors and things were all easily replaceable.
Dilithium crystals, on the other hand, weren't.
He looked at the supply. It was horribly. Only three of them weren't cracked, and those three showed massive signs of decay. There was about two week's worth of power, if they didn't do anything too harsh.
Two weeks? That was horrible. Even if they shut everything but life support down, there would only be enough power for about a year. Star fleet couldn't reach them in a year, hell, they couldn't reach them in ten years.
If what the preliminary scans said were true, they were in deep shit either way.
He sighed. The ship was dying, and there was no way he could stop it.
Or was there?
He had remembered what he wanted to do earlier. Quickly, he began doing tests to see if it could work. Within ten minutes he was alraeady planning out the new strategy.
It had to work...

Telnak walked into the turbolift and as soon as the doors closed she said, "Okay, where do I want to go?"
"I do not know that destination," the computer's voice said.
"I know that isn't a destination. Hmmm, shuttle bay."
She took a step towards the back of the turbolift and waited to reach her destination. Before she knew it she had arrived and she stepped out, hoping to see a something sitting there. Something she knew in her heart wouldn't be there.

She walked past the runabout and walked to the open door, looking up towards the starboard wing, well what was left of it. She just shook her head at the wreckage, "Stupid. Now what are we going to do."

Tra'lamira

/OOC Just some features of my character, she is tall and slim, a blue fur covering her body like K'Tur's. She has the same amount of digits on each hand and foot as he does, as well as the long tail. Her fangs though not as long as his are as sharp, and protrude when she opens her mouth. Her body is very much like a human female's in features, and guys...she's naked at the moment. She has shoulder length silvery white hair, which is somewhat curly, only it is pulled up right now. Her ears are slightly pointed. Though her body is blue like K'Tur's the front is a lighter color, more of a teal I guess. I'll think up more later...

/IC

"I would like to know how you came to be aboard and what you are called."

She looked over at the woman, peering at her curiously. She frowned slightly, not use to speaking the tongue of this race. "I am Tra'lamira, Princess of my people and mate of K'Tur. I come aboard to be with him...” She purred and rubbed her cheek against K'Tur's arm.

She could feel the heat of his body, and hers responded to it, matching it. Her cat-like eyes scanned her surroundings again, then she turned to Septana, "Where is your Mate?"

Having finished his light meal, Savok left the lounge and went to the medical bay. He was intending on checking on the progress of the ship's newest arrival. He still had seventeen-point-three minutes before he was required to report to the Captain's Ready Room.

Savok walked into the medical bay, noting that Septana was still there. She had tirelessly established a dialogue with the aliens. Savok considered her to be a very good ambassador.

Looking past Septana, Savok noticed the female alien. She was remarkably similar to humanoid females. She appeared to be content as she sat next to K'Tur.

Savok noticed the anatomical correctness of her body.

"Fascinating," he said quietly.

Counselor Gor

"Where is your Mate?"

The question caught Septana by surprise, especially as Savok had just come in. Confusion brought her up silent as she fought to get her emotions safely under control. She prayed that the Vulcan would not look at her until she had regained her composure. Even though he knew her secret from their mind melds, Septana felt that revealing her weakness in the course of her job was extremely unprofessional. Something Septana would not tolerate.

"I do not have a mate," she answered plainly.

Changing the subject, she asked Savok, "Perhaps you could show K'Tur to quarters before you go to the Captain's ready room. I still have a few questions for Tra'lamira and then I will join you."

Savok nodded bluntly. "Of course," he said. "If you will accompany me, K'Tur, I will find quarters suitable for your species."

Savok looked at Septana. "You will also be required to report to the Ready Room. Perhaps our guests should accompany you. I believe that they may be able to shed some light on our current location."

"Provided, of course, that she comes clothed," he said unemotionally.

Savok noticed that Septana had struggled emotionally upon hearing the question from the female. It was logical, he concluded. His mate, his wife, T'Lera, had died several years ago at the hands of the Borg. Although he was a Vulcan who had attained Kohlinahr, the purging of all emotions, Savok still felt alone.

Lt. Commander Savok turned to leave the medical bay, stopping at the door and awaiting K'Tur to follow him.

K'Tur:

Rising to his feet, K'Tur looked down into Tra'lamira's eyes. He didn't really want to leave her this soon, but he also didn't want to do anything that would anger these people. So without a word he came to Savok's side and indicated he was ready to go.

A moment later, he and Savok were walking briskly down the halls of the Hera. K'Tur turned his head to look at Savok. He seemed to calm a little as he noticed the mans pointed ears.

Savok spoke to K'Tur as they walked down the corridor.

"I am a Vulcan," he told his guest. "My planet orbits the star 40 Epsilon-Eridani. My people are peaceful. We are scientists and explorers. Our planet is arid, primarily desert. There is very little precipitation in some areas. In some regions, it never rains at all. The capital city is Shikahr."

Savok continued as they walked. "A Vulcan's blood is based on copper, which causes its greenish tint. Our current teachings are based upon the philosophy of Surak. We believe that logic, not emotion, is the best possible course of existence."

Savok stopped at the entrance to some empty crew quarters. He touched the panel and the door opened.

"You may rest here," Savok told him.

K'Tur:

Once they reached the door to the empty quarters K'Tur turned to face Savok. "Thank you, you have been more than kind, and I found it interesting to learn about your home planet Savok. But... May I ask... You do not feel emotion?"

Captain Emerson

He never made it to the med bay. As soon as everyone got over the thankfullness to be alive, the calls began to come in. There was work to be done everywhere and wouldnt do for the ships captain to look tired. He bounded from deck to deck checking on crewman and and reciveing updates that he was sure would be diffrent by the time the meeting was held. He finnlay noticed that time was nearing and he should get ready he proceeded to his quarters to wash up and then to the meeting.

The doctor had already taken a seat, nearly half an hour early for the meeting. He didn't mind though, keeping himself company wasn't hard for him. Besides, being bored wasn't in his subroutines just yet.
He anticipated the others to come along as soon as they were ready.

Argos walked in, preparing PADD's and other things. Scans, diagnotstic, chart readouts, anything and everything that would make the lamen understand experimental warp theory in deep space.
Spreading out over the place he was to be sitting, he made a mental note of everything. Not missing a thing... perfect.
Now, all he had to do was hope it would work.

Telnak

Telnak walked into the ready room and looked at Argos who was sitting casually looking at his PADDs and shook her head. He had destroyed the starboard nacel and he seemed to be pleased with himself. It was true that they had gotten past the Borg but it had cost them one of the nacels, something that was extremely hard to replace- in this part of space damn near impossible.

She took a seat and turned to look out at space, knowing that if she looked at Argos she would say something that she would regret later on. It was true that in destroying the nacel he had saved everyone, except for the Ferengi lieutenant. She closed her eyes and tried to remember his name but when she tried it was as if a mental block had been thrown up, making it impossible. She banged her head against the armrest of the chair and let out a curse which caused everyone in the room to look at her.

Savok raised an eyebrow at K'Tur's question. "Vulcans feel. We choose not to show emotion," he told the blue skinned person. "You must understand, Vulcans are a very private people. We choose not to express emotions in situations where logic provides the clearer, more defined alternative. Concepts such as humor, fear, and anger are not alien to us. We simply find that they are not preferrable to sound, logical reasoning."

Savok looked at his PADD. "I must report to the Captain's Ready Room in a few minutes. I would like for you to join me there. A yeoman will collect you when Tra'lamira has met you here. If that is agreeable?"

Tra'Lamira

She frowned again when K'Tur stood to follow the strange being. She had just been re-united with her mate, and she did not want to leave his side. He glanced back at her, his eyes looking into hers for a moment then he stood and left with the man. She almost seemed to pout, and then the facial expression was gone as she looked back at the woman.

She thought she had seen a change in the woman's character when she had asked her the question, as if she wasn't sure what to say. Then she answered her, surprising Tra'Lamira, with the fact that she had no mate. Maybe this race did not need a mate to reproduce like hers did; it was a thought that she wanted to investigate more. Her curiosity with the woman now rising since K'Tur was no longer in the room. She blinked her eyes and laid back on the table, staring at Septana.

"You wish to know more?" Her voice purred while she raised her eyebrows, “Or do you wish to experiment on me?" The question was an innocent one, and honest, yet disturbing in thought.

Counselor Gor

"We certainly will not experiment on you, Tra'Lamira. The doctor may have to run some more tests at a later date, but that will be all."

I studied the beautiful creature with curiosity. I sensed no guile or deception about her.

"I would like to talk longer, but I have other duties to attend to. Your quarters adjoin those of K'Tur. Shall I take you there?"

Those on the bridge look up as the lights dim and the main viewer turns to a movie-screen blue. From the main-viewer, a voice spoke solemnly, but resolutely at the high-ranking officers.

"Hmm... it seems we have found a Federation vessel, way off-course. What may I ask, are you doing way out here in this part of space?"

"Me? You may call me Q."

As Shelby Looked at Mac here jaw droped She Had Met the One Named 7of9 But This Was Difrent This Was Her lover WHo Had What Aperrd to be Borg im plants.

"Oh, that is a shame," The doctor stood up, taking out a tricorder. He gave a once over to Telnak looking for any serious injuries.
"Well, nothing's broken. A small concussion, but nothing to be worried about, just a bump on the head. Here," he pulled out a little hypospray, giving her the equivalent to a few apirins.
"Good as new, you should be a little more careful next time. Those chairs are dangerous."

Telnak looked at the doctor and said her thanks then turned back to look out of the window at the stars. She knew that the doctor was still standing there, looking at her and wondering if she was alright but she didn't want to look at him. She didn't want to shut him out but right now she needed the solitude so that she could calm herself down.

She turned her chair around and looked at him, "Thank you doctor. What you have done has helped me alot. "

K'Tur:

Nodding acention to Savok's request, K'Tur watched as he turned and left him standing in front of the door to the offered quarters. Turning slowly, K'Tur tilted his head as the door slip open with a whoosh. He smiled and slunk into the room. It was nicely furnished, everything looked so comfortable, unlike the grand and gilded furniture he remembered from his home planet, this was warm and welcoming, not cold and demanding. He sighed and slumped back into a cushened seat. Not until then did he realize how thoroughly drained he felt, and before he knew it, he fell asleep, his tail twitching as he began to dream.

Dream:

He was laying in his pod again, in an atificial sleep. Something shook his pod, and still he slept. Something bored into the pod, and he would not wake, a needle's point peirced his skin but did not wake him. His blood burned within him, being corupted by something alien, but he simply could not shake himself awake...

Dream out:

K'Tur still slept and still dreamt, his tail began to twitch even more voilently, as though he wanted to wake up...

"All part of my program," He said, sitting down in a chair next to her, "I'm just glad that you are all right. You are all right aren't you, is there anything else I can do? You look a bit pale..."
It was a worried doctor voice, almost motherly, wondering these things. The last thing he wanted was one of the crew members to be sick or hurt.
His job was to make sure that didn't happen.
