Star Trek: Frontiers.

Telnak took her hands away from Savok's quickly and looked at him. He knew who or what she really was and that scared her more than anything else. What was going to happen to her now? Was he going to tell Captain Emerson and then get thrown into the brig or was she going to be killed on the spot for being a Romulan?

"Friends... I am among friends who think I am a Vulcan. Friends that treat me with respect because of who I look like. What are my friends going to do when they find out what I really am. I know exactly what is going to happen. They are going to hate me for lying to them for so long. I am a Romulan and there is nothing I can do to change that. I was sent to Earth as a spy but I hate everyone on Romulus for wanting to destroy everything good, Starfleet. Please don't say anything to anyone; I beg you."

Astra...

Greeting Savok was as always a pleasure for me. He always brought a smile to my heart but of course that was a thought I would keep to myself. Our conversations were always a joy for me. Knowing he would see it as totally illogical, I always have kept that little piece of knowledge to myself. Seeing Telnak enter I greet her as she joins him. Having long since adjusted to the fact that my mother's people were to few to ever give me the opportunity of chance meeting in space, I find comfort in knowing that these Vulcans share a bond.

As I return to work, I let my mind drift back to another time and plave and the Vulcan who had mentored me. She had taught me so much...

Consciousness regained at unknown time...

Preparing body scan...injuries detected...body highly damaged...damage rate determined at 73%...

(I tried to open my eyes, but to no avail. I wondered if my eyes weren't responding or if perhaps they'd been removed, as I felt little pain...)

Testing leg response...left leg responding at 40%...right leg, no response...

(I wanted to maon, to speak...)

Testing arm function...no response from right arm...no response from left arm...

(What the...? Had I crashed? Was I even alive?)

Testing basic functions of body...breathing...breathing reported at 42% capacity...heartrate...heartrate reporting at 53%...testing nervous system...nervous system operating at 38% capacity to all responsive body parts...

(I remembered being young, a boy on a large blue planet...Planet...Ear? Eat?)

Testing brain function...

(I was very young, living in a house that was too small for my family, a brother and sister, a mother, and father in...STarfleet...Starfleet? Yes, Starfleet.)

Brain functioning...but at undetermineable capacity...

(Playing in boxes of sand? Yes, boxes of sand, on a playground...other children running by...screaming...playing tag...)

Testing brainstem function...

(Then being older, graduating high school, specializing in engineering...no, computer protocol...computer protocol? Yes, that was it...)

Brainstem functioning at 68%...

(Then what? What did I do then?)

Testing machanical operating systems...basic functions...breathing fully supported...heartrate supported at 34%...reporting brainactivity support failure...

(I rememberd being in Starfleet...training at the Academy...becoming an officer...)

Testing battery core...battery core highly damaged...functioning at 26% capacity...

Transferring all power to basic functions...minimizing battery output...shutting down all other operations...

(I remember...)

Savok listened to Telnak. He heard every word, but inside him, inside his trained, logical mind, he was feeling. Pity. Sorrow. Compassion. And understanding.

"I would be doing less than my duty as a Starfleet officer if I did not report this development to the Captain," Savok told her. It was quite logical.

"Perhaps," he said, raising an eyebrow, "there is another way."

Savok steepled his fingers once again. "If we were to inform the Captain together, and you officially requested asylum within the Federation, then you would be safe. I am sure Starfleet Command would agree to continue your tenure as an officer in exchange for information on the Romulan Empire."

Savok looked deep into her dark eyes. So like a Vulcan, he thought. "I would be your sponsor," he told her. "Much the same as Spock once sponsored a young Romulan female named Saavik. With the current negotiations opened by the amabassodor, and the current state of Federation-Romulan diplomacy, I forsee this occurring to your benefit. It is logical," he finished.

"What are your thoughts on this?" Savok asked. "Do you have another alternative?"

"But, wait," Savok told her. "There is another I would ask this question to. A keeper of secrets," he said, almost smiling. Almost, but not quite.

"Astra?" Savok called into the lounge. "May I speak with you?"

Astra...

Smiling down at the young female ensign

"..you should know better than to get into a card game with him... He's a shark. Next time you'll know better....lol "

Patting her on the shoulder, I hear my name being called,
crossing the room I approach Savok's table.

"Hello, Savok...Telnak. Did you need something?"

Seeing the look in their eyes, I know this important. Looking around at the ever growing crowd....

"Would you like to join me in my private suite of rooms"

Leading them to the door behind the bar I push the button, with a gentle swoosh, a room of comfort and quiet elegance is revealed.

"Please have a seat. Would you care for a drink?"

Walks in to the trubo lift. he lift his hand wires shot out Than he spoke, "Computer, Captians Corters"

OOC: Captian emmerson Is in his Corters right

Savok politely declined the drink. He looked at Astra, a raised eyebrow denoting his seriousness.

"There is a situation that has arisen," he told her, "that I do not have a logical solution for."

There, he had said it. It wasn't so much as saying something that embarrassing in front of Astra as it was Telnak. To her, he was a Vulcan, always at the perfection of logical thought. He knew that Astra's wisdom transcended appearances, however. He was sure that such an admission would hardly receive a notice from her.

Savok cleared his throat, a most Human gesture. "It is best that I let Telnak inform you."

He looked at Telnak. He nodded. "Trust," he told her.

Telnak looked at Astra and wondered what her reaction would be when she heard this news. Would she think anything less of her, would she hate her or would she treat her as if she never existed for the rest of her life. She looked over at Savok and saw that he was looking straight at her and then she turned to Astra who was also looking straight at her.

"What I have to tell you is something that only one other person on this ship knows. You know that my name is Telnak.... that much is true but I was not born on Vulcan. I was born on Romulus where I was told to hate everyone in the Federation. I was sent to the Academy as a spy and report everything back to Romulus which I did but then I began to see that everything I had been taught was a lie. The Federation was doing everything to make peace in the galaxy and we were causing everything to fall apart. I began to feed my superiors false information and when that was found out I was branded a traitor. I never told anyone because I knew I would be sent back. The rest you know because after that I joined the crew of this ship."

Astra...

Looking a Sovak and Telnak, I am barely able to keep my surprise in check. Savok has a problem that he thinks logic cannot solve.... It takes all my considerable four hundred years worth of training not to giggle in delight. Even though I'm sure the laughter showed in my eyes for just a moment, I hope that he missed it yet I know that likely hood is very remote. He rarely misses anything. Smiling in my heart, I am equally sure he sees to it that I work on my lack of control...

Bringing my thought back into focus, I think on what I have been told.

"Telnak, honor will demand that Savok report this to the Captain. He can do no less. There an element that I don't think either of you have considered.

Savok, Alex
(Captain Emerson), chose you for a reason. He trusts you. You are chief protector of this ship. His trust is both logical and instinctual otherwise you would not hold the title you do.

Telnak, you have a record of what your contribution has been to Star Fleet. The question then becomes a question of motive and trust. I do not dismiss your actions as a spy. What I do question is your effectiveness as one. You did not believe in your cause.
Savok must see you in much the same way. If he did not find truth in your words, you would now be in the brig, not talking to me. He could do no less if he saw you as a threat.

Savok found this information in a touch. I think that Alex would be willing to speak to Star Fleet on your behalf if we approached him with this proposition:

In the presence of Alex and Septana, Savok should perform a complete mind meld. If there are no mental blocks or attempts on your part Telnak to deceive him then you will feel nervous at most. Septana will be able to attest to your lack of deceit. With the completion of a total mind meld, Savok will be able to attest to your motives and trustworthiness. There will be repercussions. Do not fool yourself in to believing there won't be. Equally, Know that Star Fleet is above all else fair handed. Trust Alex with this...

Would you like me to contact him?"

Savok had listened to Astra with keen interest. When she was finished, Savok said nothing. He would have smiled if he had been human. Astra, as always, had been able to inject needed, emotional content into a dire logical situation. And she had came up with a very possible solution. Savok had never doubted otherwise.

The Vulcan nodded his head. "Yes," he said. "Your proposition is quite logical." He looked at Astra, a raised eyebrow his only sign of his amusement.

"I believe that your contacting the captain is most appropriate," he told her. "However, it is Telnak's choice."

He turned to Telnak. "This revelation to the captain is necessary," he told her, "for all of Starfleet, not just this vessel. Your very presence here proves that all beings are created with justness within them. You must tell the captain. Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or the one."

"We will be with you," he told her.

Ben

The power reverted solely to lifesupport (basic functions), my life was changing again. An odd feeling, to have feeling again...
In the that the machine implanted within me had lowered it influence, I was suddenly and totally human once more, although i could enjoy it very little in my now unconscious state.
Instead of remembering the past, I dreamt about it, actually reliving through my dreams.
Life was coming back to me in a sudden rush, and I wondered just how long it would last...until the lifesupport wasn't enough to keep me alive? Not quite so long? There was no way to tell...

K'Tur:

K'Tur found himself standing in a hall, dark and silent. Only torch lights lined along the cold stone walls lit the room. Marble pillars stood on either side of him. He turned to find Tralamara there with him. His gaze took her in, she was a beautiful creature, and any man of his race would have counted himself lucky to even stand in her presence. For a moment he stared at her, his head turning to the side. "Trala..." He said in a soft growl as he walked toward her. His hand ran along her shoulder. "The dream realm... The ritual has begun..." He sighed in her ear as his hand slid from her shoulder, down along her arm, only to caress the slight curve of her stomach. For the sake of our race we must make a child..." He whispered as he laced his other hand through her hair.

Tra'Lamira

Her eyes close to his touch and her purr echoes through the marble, she tilts her head to the side, her own growls mixing with his. The Dream Realm, the Halls of Fra’lera, where her and K’Tur were to bring forth a new race of their people. It would be the only way they could survive, the sadness of the lost of her people filled her and she presses herself to him. Her heart pouring out a ton of emotions as she softly kisses him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Gently he lowers her to the cold floor of the Hall....

K'Tur:

Though the great hall was cold and dark, K'Tur could not denigh the drawing of Tra'lamira's closeness and heat. He could sence the deep loss she felt as they embraced. Slowly he took her down the to the floor, caressing her cheek and kissing her lips as he did. His hands assured her that she was not alone any longer. Breaking the kiss, K'Tur looked down into her eyes, his long dark hair drifting over his shoulders and his lips parting ever so slightly. Their skin shared each others heat, but that wasn't enough, it could never have been enough. He entered her slowly, exhaling in a deep murmur of pleasure.

Telnak

Telnak looked at first Savok and then at Astra and slowly nodded. She knew that they were telling the truth, that she had to tell Captain Emerson but she was also afraid of the repercussions. What would the crew think of her when they found out that she was a Romulan and not a Vulcan. Would they hate her or would they just ignore her completely.... something she would find most disheartening.

"I see your logic in it Savok and in yours Astra and you are right. I will tell the captain and I will agree to a full mind meld before him with Septana present. I want him to know that I can be trusted although I don't know what his reaction will be to my news."

Ben

I was swimming through sleep when I felt a sudden tinge of pain in my right leg. My body jerked, something I hadn't expected as my systems analysis stated that my right leg gave no response to tests. My dreams faded and a few moments later, I stirred again. Much of my body hurt, all blending together to form one giant ache that throbbed everywhere.
"He's waking," a monotone voice announced, "Give him more anisthetic...not yet, friend," the voice spoke to me now, i was sure, "give us more time."
A light pinch in my neck and I was drifting off again.
(Starfleet academy...I met Triana, the Yarzarian, beautiful with green eyes and her soft cat's tail swaying behind her as she walked...beautiful Triana...)

Savok thought quietly for a moment.

"Reactions," he said, "are hard to gauge in humans. I have found, in my many years of being with them, that there is absolutely no way to tell how the Captain will react to the news."

"There is only one way to find out," he said as he stood. He would have smiled, had he been Human.

Tra'Lamira

Her back arches and a hiss escapes her lips as she melts to him, beginning the coupling. The blood pumping in her veins moved faster while her arms tightened around his neck. Growling she bites his shoulder, her fangs sinking into his soft flesh. His dark blood dripped from her mouth, as she tasted of it. Her eyes shut tight then re-open, flashing bright in the darkness of the Halls.

K'Tur:

Spurred on by Tra'lamira's sharp bite, K'Tur thrust into her roughly. His tail flickered about, then drew along her outer thigh as he drove into her again. His mouth found her breast and he bit, just as she had. In this dream-reality they would be mingled in blood as well as lust...

Astra

Despite the severitly of the situation, I can't stop the small smile that crosses my lips... Alex is one of the best Captains Star Fleet has to offer. And Alex trusts Savok with something much more precious than his life.... he trusts him with his ship.

"Savok, logic dictates faith..."

"Savok, logic dictates faith...." he heard Astra say.

Savok raised an eyebrow at Astra. This had started to take the path of their "usual" discussions. The Vulcan was sure that she realized that he had no direct attempts at humor, yet many of the things he said, he knew, would be found quite funny by her. Just as he was about to do.

"Astra," Savok said to her, "you do realize that what you just said is not logical at all?"

Both of his eyebrows went up, and he steepled his hands in his most Vulcan Kohlinahr gesture. His face remained blank and emotionless. Inside, he was smiling.

knowing any attempt to hide my reaction to Savok was doomed to failure,

I release the laughter I had trapped inside...Between giggles I manage to gasp out...

"Yes Savok, I know"

Tra'Lamira

Tra'Lamira growls as he thrusts into her, his fangs sinking into her soft flesh, she wraps her long slender legs around him and holds tightly to him. She gasps, her cries echoing through the Great Halls....

Her tail flicks out lashing him along his back uncontrollably as she claws him, her nails clutching his arms. "K'Tur!" She cries, her body shaking with unbelievable pleasure. She forces herself against him; one hand reaches up into his long hair and grabs hold, pulling him to her.

There were no words she could think of, not even in their native tongue that could express the sensations flooding through her at that moment. They were together, loving, caressing, and engaged in the mating ritual, they would bring forth the next generation of their people. Their destiny was being conceived in a vow of passion....
