Star Trek: The New Adventures

Thanks Screech, for mentioning Australia first in Sub's 'damned' countries list.....

Anyway - you should have heard my heart beating when I read all those posts from yesterday. I'm so glad that Sub got back on his feet, somewhat, and hope that it doesn't happen again. Seriously, mate, its not worth it.

*pet pets Sub* hope you're at least feeling a little better. You sound like a pretty decent guy.

As for me... I'm trying to get my Counselor online. I've got an idea for a race - but I'll run it by Amen first. Thanks so much Wyld for letting me hone in on your turf :D

I think having an actual military councillor is a good thing. It'll keep me up to date on what goes on in briefings;).

My writer's constipation feels like it's almost over, so I should have a post up tomorrow.

And meanwhile.....

While waiting on the rest of the senior starship staff to arrive in the conference room, Captain Harper walked over to the large windows that looked aft on the massive starship.

The windows were covered by a curtain. John Harper slowly, cautiously pulled one aside and very warily looked out.

Suddenly, he turned back to the others, his face a mask of horror!

"There's something on the wing!" he exclaimed in terror.

"Some thing!"

(heh heh I'm silly!)

Oh pooh....

I took so long writing the PM that I missed him. Oh well...

*waddles off to play some Runescape*

:: Kahlest gets up to see what The Hell the captain's going on about ::

Look, Bill Shatner... (or was that John Lithgow?) ...we don't even have wings. Those sexy little outcroppings with the Bussard collectors are called nacelles...

:: moves the curtain, blinks ::

Oh. You're right, there is something out there--

:: brightens! ::

It's Data! HE'S ALIVE!

...and, uh. He wants to come in. It's cold outside.

*guffaw*

Harper turns to Kahlest, blinking, not understanding....but then he realizes what she's saying.

Am I really Bill Shatner?

And then, there's a bit of fanfare music and a brief bit of song that sounds like

...PRICELINE NEGOTIATOR!.....

And so Harper/Shatner looks again out the window.

"Data"

"We would"

"let you in"

"but"

"there's no door!"

yes Milkman, I made a reference to your medical officer. They only passed by a second, so no reason to edit unless you want to.

BTW: Torres is in the conference room. I might not have said he moved, but that one of those things that could be assumed. After all he is waiting to hear what the Captain has to say about the mission.

Just so everyone with telepathic abilities is aware, it's night on impossable to read Marjia's mind. Good old fasioned Cardassian schooling has seen to that! :D

Dan, I hope I haven't offended you with what Kahlest's said to Nine. I'm just trying to have her react like a realistic superior officer.

I intend no detriment to you or your writing, because really, that's quite splendid. :)

I imagine quite a few folks on board are good at closing off their feelings. Connor Orion Jace, obviously, and probably Torres as well, and well, Harper's a CO, he's gotta keep a tight lid.

Everyone should let me know if my girl's empathic abilities are straying too far into private regions. (I figured feeling Nine's upsurge was okay, considering how intense it was.) So far as Kahlest is presently aware, Marjia's just extremely focused on the subject at hand. ("All-business.") She might discover, in future, that there's actual walls in place, but for now she's more worried about patching things up/establishing boundaries with Nine.

umm excuse me....

For my own sanity.. is it possible for people to put in like a header or something? Just a line that says...

M'Chel Raica S'Tarr - Marine MSgt - Holodeck

ie..

Name - Rank - location.

it would help me soooo much in unbderstanding what's happening where.

I don't think Torres has any particular skill at doing that. But if I see anything that I disagree with I'll let ya know.

Okey-dokey.

:: nodnod ::

Thank you. It's of interest to me that Kahlest not become aggravatingly omniscient, that's an easy trap to fall into with psis, even relatively low-level psis like her.
