I would have one if I weren't completely still a little girl myself, psychologically.

But I have several quadrupedal honorary spawn, and they're very much like babbies to me.

I know all about having the cuteness of cats. Had 5 in total. Alas, I also know what it feels like to have them die. Especially when you're incredably close, and can't remember when the particular cat wasn't there. Went through that about 4 years ago. Her name was Harriet, she was a Havannah, and she had lived to about 22 years old. She would be sleeping on, but mostly in my bed every night, and I carried her around everywhere. Had to have her put down. Poor baby was deaf, probably going blind, almost definatly senile, and had major organ faliue...

... still hurts to this day to think about it

my oldest is 17, a grey and white short and long hair himalyan. she's been grandama since before i met her. last year she had seisures and she was diagnosed with age onset diabetes. Had to put her on a special diet. which means my brat cat gets the same diet (she's a chow hound that eats anything. But she acts like she's two and constantly wants to play so never gains weight)

my kiddo is allergic to pretty much anything with fur, so any pets are out.

besides, I like large dogs (labs, etc) & a apartment is not the place for one

Its all good Chasni - I went through all the raw pain a long time ago. Just as long as one your cats hasn't got black and white fur I"m all good. But if one does, please don't put any piccies up... sorry to ask.

I actually thought I was pretty good the other day. Babysat a kitten and a house for a friend for the entire weekend. But then I went into a pet store and saw a black and white one... had to walk out. Poor Angelus, he thought the cat was so cute.

Anyway... me likesy kitties and doggies. I had a cross labrador before... sadly, he too died. His mother was a cross shepherd.

Maybe you can get him some fish? Or a lizard... they're good pets. Or a frog. Or a turtle... or anything without fur

Axalotals are good
