Star Wars: Return of the Sith

D'Rack Fran'Tok

"Indeed itdoes, indeeditdes..." D'racklooks up into the skie as his speach slows of trak.

"Come, Duu'aan, we have things to do." D'rack saysover his shoulder to Duu'Raan as he walks to the Jedi Temple.

Duu'Raan

Duu'Raan, came back to himself, to find D'Rack walking into the Temple. He had no idea what was said. Slightly disoriented, he shook his head. Did D'Rack say something to him? He couldn't remember. The images from the vision were fading already.

"Come Doprekka." He headed into the Temple.

Mogo

Once we were given clearance, we headed down to the surface. Something was making me very uncomfortable, and I knew that it was because, whatever she was planning had to involve the Jedi. I truly did not want to be on their bad side, and consorting witha bounty hunter left few good outcomes to this situation.
We brought the Owl down toward the surface, moving carefully through the atmosphere of the moon and landing on an outdoor landing platform. It appeared as though most of the indoor space was either taken, or too small for the Owl to fit easily.
Well enough, I figured, as we exited the vessel, moving out onto the surface, where we were met by three armed guards and what looked to be a Jedi. She was dressed in the plain clothes of a Jedi, her saber attached to her hip, long red hair flowing down her back. Striking in her own way, though she appeared unaware of it. I guessed she was in her late twenties or early thirties.
We stopped at the bottom of the ramp and waited to be approached.
"Freighter captain," the Jedi began, then waited for the captain to respond.
After a moment, it sank in that the captain was actually me.
"Ahem," I began. "I'm the captain of this vessel, the Spotted Owl."
"Captain, the rebel alliance would like to thank you for assisting one of our missing pilots. You and your crew are welcome here," the Jedi replied. "I am Jedi Moedwyn Arakken."
SHe bowed her head slightly. I returned the gesture, trying to immitate her.
"We have traveled long," Nastasia began. "Could we bother you for accomodations to rest and eat?"
THe Jedi nodded. "WHatever you need within our means, we will provide." She turned to one of the guards. "Take them to the guest wing."

Marius

"I dunno," I replied, just glad to be speaking to my friend again. "I guess I have to wait and see what they tell me to do. The Council doesn't dictate our actions so much any more, but still, if they need me..."
I looked to him, hoping to see the same Daelon I had known for years, but finding a fairly different one there now.
"So, you think we're going to run? Or maybe try and take them head-on?"
I had to smile at that. It was the kind of thing I would ask him when we were here as children, before either of us were taken on as Padawans, when we'd play Jedi in our spare time.

Doprekka stood watching his master as he went silent and seemed to enter into a trance. It didn't happen often with Duu'Raan but when it did his master often had something of interest when he returned to himself. He knew better than to interrupt and so he remained silent as Frank'tok and Duu'raan had they're words, though he could sense something amiss in master Frantok and it was not something he liked. Not at all. Yet this too he would keep silent over, he was still only padawan. When his master motioned him to follow into the temple he did so, but he was still rather uneasy about seeing the imperial ship that frantok had arrived in.

Bal

As soon as Bal had landed he got out of his X-wing and walked straight to the nearest turbolift. As soon as he got into it he leaned back against the wall, closed his eyes and wondered what was going to happen now that they were at Yavin IV. He had faced a Star Destroyer by himself and had survived, with a little help from the freighter pilot. Before he knew it the doors had opened and he found himself looking straight into the bridge.

He slowly walked out and when he saw the captain standing there walked straight up to him and cleared his throat. The captain turned around and looked at Bal who saluted him. The captain saluted back before he said, "So, our wayward pilot has returned to us and with quite a story I hear."
"Sir, I can explain what happened."
"Explain how you risked your own life to try and save a Jedi Master and then survived an attack from a Star Destroyer. What is there to explain. I just wish every pilot was like those in Rogue Squadron because then we would have had the Empire beaten by now."
Bal was so shocked by what he had just heard that he just stood there, unable to think of a thing to say.
"And as for your actions I am recommending that you be promoted to Colonel Darklighter- with the courage that you showed out there you should be a Captain or even a Major by now. What do you say to that?"
"Sir, I can't think of anything to say except thank you. It is much more than I deserve so thank you."
"That is nonsense Lieutenant..... you deserve it. Now, I suggest that you get some rest- I think that you may need it. Lieutenant Icalson- can you take Lieutenant Isalias here to one of the empty quarters. He needs to get some rest."
"At once sir," a fresh face lieutenant said before he turned to Bal and asked him to follow him.
Bal saluted the captain of the Solo again before he turned away from the bridge and into the turbolift that he had come up in. After a short trip down in the turbolift he came to a floor that he knew was full of sleeping quarters. After a short walk down the hallway the two of them stopped and Lieutenant Icalson opened the door then moved aside for Bal. Once Bal had walked into the quarters the door closed behind him and Bal walked over to the bed and almost fell onto it, falling asleep before he could even take off his boots.

Darth Azrael

After being ignored by the commander there was not much I could do but sit in the command AT-ST and watch the battle unfold. I sat there silent and unmoving, but inside I cheered when my granddaughter escaped with the remaining rebels. A few minutes later the ground forces commander got a communication with his instructions for me, because we started heading away from the battlefield, towards where I presume the landing area was.
Around a standard hour later we arrived at the landing site, and landing at that time was a TIE-X3 scoutcraft. These were still in development when I was a sovereign protector.
I walk around the craft, admiring the sensor-absorbing hullplating, and the sleek lines of the ship.
“Very good Commander, give my appreciation to your superior. Now, I must be on my way.”
I entered the ship, and moved up to the cockpit. In a few moments I was airborne, then moving out away from the planet.
My hand moved to the astrocomp, and with my fingers moving of their own violation, I started programming a hyperspace jump, letting the Force guide my destiny. In a few moments the computer beeped, and I activated the hyperdrive, moving the ship off to the location the Force wanted me to be at.

A few hours later the ship dropped out of hyperspace over a verdant green forest moon. My first thought was that I was over Endor, but I soon realized that this was not Endor. There was no presence of the dark side, & that was when I noticed the Force Signatures of many Jedi.
I immediately concentrated on pulling in my force presence, hiding the fact that I was above a planet full of Jedi. Hopefully, they had not noticed me before I managed to disguise myself. If they had, things were going to get interesting

Daelon

Daelon couldn't help but smile at Marius' statement, but after a moment, his face turned serious once more.
"Who knows. Somehow, I think that decision will be left to those above us. We are but pawns in too big a game, I fear..." Daelon's head dropped. After a moment, he composed himself, and looked back up. "But chess can be won or lost by the actions of pawns, so we may play a larger role in the game yet..."

*It was sudden, and one might even dismiss it, if that one were not Doprekka, but the large wookie had learned to trust the force..but still, this time, it was too early to speak of it. He would simply have to be wary...a sudden presence of the darkside, and then...nothing. As if it had just vanished. He didn't know quite what to make of it, so he remained silent for now so the masters might have they're meeting undisturbed. Though now he kept his senses more aware for anything that might tell him he wasn't over-reacting.*

Jedi Master Duu'Raan

The Jedi Council gathered in the central chamber of the large pyramid. All except for the one Padawan present. Doprekka stood slightly behind Duu'Raan.

Duu'Raan wondered who would speak first. Since the death of Master Skywalker, the Council had been slightly leaderless. They had always deferred to the powerful Jedi who had founded the new Jedi Order.

He decided to speak first.

He bowed toward the center of the circle. There were chairs set up, each distinctly designed for the specific needs of the person who would sit in it, but no one was sitting at present.

"Greetingsss, my friendss. I'm sure you are all aware of the troubling newss coming to uss out of Mached V. The Sssith seem to be able to detect our Jedi basess now. And there is more."

He gestured for his apprentice to step forward.

"Doprekka came in contact with an Imperial probe droid, here on Yavin IV. While thiss doesn't mean they are aware of our presence asss of yet, it does raisse the possibility."

Luke

"Stay here, and practice your meditation. I'm going to find this Council meeting. When Duu'Raan comes out, I mean to have my answer."

Luke nodded to Tynan. He certainly didn't look happy. Stupid kid. Why would Tynan want to be stuck with you? No one else does.

Tynan walked out of the bedchamber, and Luke sank to the floor. After several minutes, he climbed to his feet again. He didn't feel like meditating. He might as well explore.

A few minuted later he found himself walking along the guest quarters. There was no one around, which didn't surprise him. Who would want to visit a planet full of Jedi, anyway?

Eventually, he did see someone. A group of someones actually. One of them was Toydarian! He knew some of the species from back home on Tatooine. There was another man, a fierce looking woman, and a shiny droid with him. They were being escorted by a soldier, but they didn't look to be under arrest, which meant the must be friends of the Jedi. Their escort stopped by the door that Luke had stopped by, and gestured to the rooms on either side of the hallway, informing them that these would be their quarters.

Since I'm going to be a Jedi, I might as well make them feel welcome.

He stood up straight, and tall (which also had the pleasant effect of letting them see his lightsaber that was hooked to his belt).

"Welcome to Yavin IV. I'm Luke."

Doprekka came forward as he was called and held out the piece of probe armor so the assembled masters could see it. Though he did not speak, as he wasn't asked to. He simply remained motionless and calm. Though he was somewhat distracted by letting the fingers of the force reach out to see if he might sense that feeling of the dark side once again.

Captain Dar Thandor

"It's intermittant, sir."

"Cloaked?" Dar asked his tactical officer.

"I don't think so. Possibly stealth technology. If we even got a blip, that means it's close. Most scout craft are designed to drop in to the edge of a system and watch from a distance. When they're unmoving they're nearly impossible to detect at that distance."

"Send out a broadband hail, and see if we spook them. They might do something foolish if they knw we're aware of their presence. And scramble Red and Gold squadrons. Tell them to conduct visual sweeps of the planets orbit." He turned to Communications. "Call Yavin command, and let them know we have a visitor."

"Aye, Captain."

Bal

As soon as Bal heard the signal for the scramble he jumped up off the bed and ran down the hallway. As soon as he got into the elevator he saw a few other pilots standing there, each of them holding their helmets in their hands and each of them having the same scared and apprehensive look on their faces. He just looked at them and smiled, hoping that it would relieve some of the apprehension that they were feeling.

The door then closed as soon as he was in and before he even realized it he was in the main hangar bay. He made his way to his ship and asked the mechanic standing next to it if she was ready to fly. When the mechanic said that she was he looked up at Wolf and asked him if he was ready. Wolf gave him a weird whistle as Bal got up into the cockpit, put on his helmet and strapped himself in.

He sat there and watched as the two squadrons flew out of the hangar bay then flew forward on his repulsor lifts until he was out of the magcon shield. He then switched over to his engines and flew away from the Solo, wondering what was out there.

Mogo

A Jedi? This small?
I hadn't realized they came in so many sizes.
"Hello, Luke," I replied, trying to sound jovial in spite of the weariness that had overtaken me. "You're a Jedi, young one?"
"A padawan learner, I believe," Nastasia said. "Isn't that right?"
She leaned down to speak with him closer, not giving him the chance to respond. "Tell me a little about yourself, Luke. Where are you from?"

Marius

"Good point," i replied, taking my laightsaber out and igniting it, looking it over for a moment.
Pink. What had she been thinking?
That you're too arrogant, and too sure of your own abilities. It'll get you into grave trouble some day, Marius.
In my head or aloud, I guessed it would always be nice to hear Raine's voice, even if it was just for criticism.
"Y'know what? I'm thinking I should make a new one of these, one that fits me a little better. It's served me well; I'll admit that. But if I pass the trials, I'll be a Jedi, and a pink lightsaber might weaken my chances of being taken seriously."
I glanced over at Daelon, wondering if he was grinning at old Pinky or not.

"Tatooine. I met some Toydarians there," he said, pointing to Mogo.

He screwed up his face a little, not wanting to be truthful. But Tynan had told him that to Jedi, truth is a virtue that should only be stretched when absolutely necessary.

"I'm not really a Padawan, yet. I just got here with Tynan. He's the one who found me. He went to talk with the Masters to see about leaving me here, with them." He couldn't quite keep the sadness out of his voice.

Mogo

Tatooine. Great. If he knew my uncle Watto, he expected the worst of us already. Although Watto always was fair with the children, and the slaves.
"Tatooine," she replied. "i've been there before. It's very dry there. A desert, right?"
She glanced back at me, but only for a second, as though she wondered what I was doing. Orin was looking around nervously next to me, making me feel suspicious looking.
Again, she didn't wait for the boy to respond, just started to talk again.
"Tell me Luke, who is this Tynan? Is he a friend of yours?"

Luke

Luke nodded. "It's hot there, alright. Gross, too."

Then leaned over close to her, and whispered. "He's famous. A bounty hunter."

He grinned. "Makes him mad being famous. He doesn't like people knowing who he is. He says," Luke lowers his voice to imitate Tynan's, "'It makes it damned hard to do my job.'"

He laughed, and shrugged. "I think he should be a Jedi, again. He's been looking out for me since he found me."

He shrugged again. "He's nice to me, even though he has a temper with everyone else." His face brightened. "Do you want to meet him?"

"Not just yet," she replied.
I wasn't sure what he'd said, as he'd whispered fairly low, but I guessed our trouble was already beginning, if there was to be any that was.
"But I wish to meet all of your friends very soon," she replied, her voice oddly playful. i pictured the woman who'd given orders on the Owl just a short while ago and wondered how that voice had come from such a woman. "Do you think you can introduce me to them, Luke?"

Luke

Luke shrugged. "Sure. Although I don't know that many people here. I just got here. Most of the ones I know came from the other planet, like Marius and Daelon. They're Padawan learners. And then there was Jedi Raine. Her and Tynan know eachother. She never smiles."

"Then there is Master Duu'Raan. He's kinda scary looking, with his long sharp teeth, and claws, but he seems nice to me."

"Did you guys come with the refugees from the other planet?"

D'Rack Fran'Tok

"I have not heared of this..." D'Rack puases for a secound, then continues. "When I toke controlof the Imperial fleet at Coruscant, I heared of the attack on Mached V, but I neverknew ofprobesw being sent off."
"I fear we may have a stronger enamy then we once thgought... Hard to tell, the dark side clouds everything..."

D'Rack, was troubled be the news of the probe droid, and had someideas, which needed further thought. "One thing is clear... Yaviin IV can not fall! We have been set back with the fall of Mached V..."

Master Duu'Raan

"Agreed, Masster Fran'tok. Yavin must hold. The future may depend on the children."

"Any suggesssstionss on how to increasse our defensse of the planet? There is a heavy cruiser in orbit as we sspeak, with a ssmall escort fleet. Yavin's ssecurity has alwayss depended on ssecrecy, not firepower. Do we rissk sstationing a larger force here and calling attention to oursselvessss?"

Jedi Master D'Rack Fran'tok

D'Rack sat back in his chair, pondering a thought. "Perhaps," He started, "I could bring my Imperial fleetfrom Coruscant, to here... All in all, thereis 4 Star Destroyers, a Super Star Destroyer in construction, nor forget the ground forces on Coruscant... With that, and what we already have, we should give out a good fight..." D'Rack lent forward in his chair. "But, having our two forces' work together would be, tricky, given the history of the Empire..."

"I also beleave we need to hold Coruscant... I fell witness to a smile scale attack by another Imperial fleet... I fear the Imperials are attempting to regroup and retake the Empire, therefore, Coruscant is a key...A key to order.
The Imperials wish to open the door, but they need the key to unluck it... We have the key in our hands..."

"I personaly beleave holding Coruscant would be best..." "Perhaps the Death Star may be able to be a strong point... Then I could bring the key of the fleet here, and have the Death Star hold Cruscant..." "The Imperials may already know we are here." Pointing to the probe droid. "If we don't handle this right, we may lose Yavin IV as we lost Mached V."

"Going by history, the imperials would expect us to packup and leave, then hit us while we pack up... i think if we do the unexpected, and mass our force here, we may with-stand an attack, and might just take out a good percentage of the Imperial force who attack."

"My fleetis a sizable force, but break it into two, would weaken everything...." D'Rack rubbed his forehead. "What do the other Masters here say? Join our small Rebellion force with my Imperial fleet or any other ideas?"

OOC: That was just D'Rack speaking, BTW.

Bal

Bal switched his comm unit over to the the squadron leader of the lead squadron and asked him what they were after.
"What are you doing out here if you don't know what you are after."
"I thought that I could help you... I heard the scramble signal and decided to see what was out here, especially after what happened at Mached V."
"You were at Mached V? You weren't flying with us."
"No.... I was with Rogue squadron. In fact I am second in command there. Now will you please tell me what's going on."

Suddenly a signal came out onto his read-outs and when he looked at them his eyes widened. What he saw he knew couldn't exist but yet there it was, he didn't know how but there was a cloaked TIE fighter out here.
