Stormswept Heights OOC

Thank you much for letting me join! I've posted....

It may well be Tuesday night before I can post again, but here is this. If any maidservants wish to join me,so be it, otherwise continue with the NPC! Thanks again for letting me in! I'm sure it will be wonderful! :nana:

Just a little note to remind everyone not to roleplay other people's characters for them without permission. :)

Try to leave your roleplaying open-ended, and allow other people to respond to what you post, rather than responding for them, unless they are an NPC.

oops

I meant Wood would be responsible to Cook (the cook) for growing those veggies. gotta watchmy syntax.

And yes, caela, Wood is not opposed to ploughing hte upper class. As a matter of fact he may take a perverse joy in it

I can't say that surprises me lol...Well he has a chance for his first encounter with one of the new tenants tramping through his gardens.

Great minds think alike. ;) Must be the smell of jasmine. It can be quite intoxicating, as I'm sure Elsabeth can be. How does she feel about swarthy earthy types?

She has no real opinion at the moment. All she really knows of men is the suitors she's rejected. She knows she doesn't like the arrogant fops that make up most of her own class. Far too full of themselves and barely able to hold up their end of a conversation ~shudders~ :)

She'd likely find it a refreshing change.

Now just a minute. you're forgetting who's sister she is. Darcy can wield a rapier better the best. So you better be careful or you find yourself with out anything to plough with. lol

hehehehe...He has to find out that anything is happening first.

Who needs a rapier when you have a long handled shovel. :)

Now, now boys, there's no need to fight! Besides it's not as if Darcy won't find his own distractions I'm sure.

I guess you don't know much about fencing with a rapier. Believe me you wouldn't want to face him whit a shovel. LOL

Unfortunately I can't unfold as fast as caela, lol. Two posts in one day, no matter what size is just about a record with me.

You know, Cobra, as a gardener, Wood knows a lot about fencing. Not to mention tulips. and pollination.

I suspect Darcy will soon find a maiden or two (hmmmmmmmm, thats a thought)who will help him unsheath his sword.

It's 1805, where would we all rather be, with Nelson at Trafalgar or at Stormswept heights?

A toast: to maids and maidens.

lol...Well then I am honored to have gotten that second post from you Subo. Writing in the evenings is how I usually unwind after a long day at work so I post a bit more than that. :) Today I was dying to write to take my mind off not feeling good and of course it's a weekday so everyone else was at work!

Well hope you start feeling better soon Caela.

Thanks Jon. I spent the day curled up being lazy and it's helped, hopefully a good nights sleep will toss off the last of the migraine and I'll be right as rain come morning.

Look I hope you didn't take it the wrong way because that's not the way I meant it. It was merely a comment OCC witch is done in fun. What Darcy does is another matter Subo97. LOL

All tongue in cheek, be assured. I'm having fun, reparte' is always a pleasure.

Hello all,

I was hoping to take a position as a servant, if any are still available. Here's the idea I had for a character. Please let me know if anything needs amended.

Name: Nathaniel "Nate" Turner
Age: 22
Height: 6'
Weight: 190
Hair: Short trimmed locks of sandy blond.
Eyes: Hazel

Appearance: Nate is tall and broad shouldered, with the muscles of someone who's worked their entire life. He has a rough-hewn handsomeness to his features, though they're often soot stained. His hands are scarred from work with the horses and work at the forge, strong but capable of being very gentle. He is clean-shaven, though he sometimes has a scruffy stubble.

History: Nate's father was a soldier, and his mother a farm girl. Living with his mother on his grandparents' farm, Nate learned to work hard and well, always making his best effort. He always had a way with animals, and was apprenticed to a farrier. Now a journeyman, Nate has the stablehand and driver at Stormswept Heights for only a few months. In addition to his duties with the animals and driving, he is generally handy, capable of fixing most small things, an even big things given enough time. Nate is very polite and courteous, with his fellow servants as well as his betters, and tends toward practicality in most things. Unlike many people, he can read (not perfectly) and occasionally tries to surreptitiously borrow books from the library.

Welcome to the thread, Armphid... we've been needing more servants, so glad to have you!
