I've got yours on the list as well, I saw it go up this morning, lol.
We’ve Got To Run Away published this morning and was included on the list!
I enjoyed writing for this challenge and I'm looking forward to reading some of the other stories on the list. Definitely a creative challenge!
Thanks @dirk2024 and @Erozetta for running this event and being so welcoming and encouraging to the writers taking part. It was an usual challenge for me because I rarely mix music with my writing but I saw the value in using the song to set the mood. I hope I captured that. The horror part was beyond me, I think, as it wouldn't be something I'd choose to read or write normally. I'm looking forward to reading the participating stories over the next while.
Agreed - it did make me think outside my usual focus. I'm also part of the Survivor 2026 challenge where you try to publish in as many different categories as possible and that's also opened up my horizons with regards what I'm willing or able to write. When I came here I never thought I would read an erotic horror story, much less write one. Then I wrote one last August and enjoyed it. It still isn't a huge draw for me, but I really enjoyed writing another one for this challenge. It's quite a unique theme to get in touch with.

Several scenes take place in a goth dance club. I describe real songs of the era and quote a few lines of lyrics, but I don't mention any of the bands. So if anyone does care to read it, try to figure out which bands they are (one of them will be obvious, d'uh!)
