A recording reviewed by ABC News appears to capture President Donald Trump telling associates he wanted the then-U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch fired while speaking at a small gathering that included Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman -- two former business associates of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani who have since been indicted in New York.

Yeah, Is this supposed to be some damning evidence showing impeachment is more than just a partisan ploy?? Because it isn't.

it proves your president is, once again, a blatant liar; don't you remember him saying he didn't know lev parnas at all, that he was just another face who had a photo taken with him like so many other thousands do?

and yet lev parnas is there, in a small meeting WITH the president, where trump is telling them exactly what he wants done. and let's not even go to that pic of the place-names on the table with parnas' name being seated NEXT to trump.

you're happy your president lies to you on a daily basis. don't you think the american public deserves better than that? many do.

What they don't get is that they're told lies every day. And they believe them. Yet, if Trump says something, it's automatically "a lie". Even if it isn't.

It also shows what a coward he is--and how people just ignore him. She didn't get fired after this incident. According to Parnas, Trump told people to fire her five or six times without result. Trump had the power to pull her out of her post at any time, but he didn't have the balls to do it himself and it wasn't done for a couple of years after the first time he said he wanted her out.

Incidentally, career State Department employees are in a protected service. They can be reassigned but they can't be fired from their employment status without due process based on judged cause. She's still in the State Department now. She's been removed from the Ukraine position, but she's still at work at the State Department as an ambassador-level official.

She may still be in the State Department when Trump is jerked out of his current job. She'll certainly get a lot better press in history than he will.
