And so it's Friday, and the day that was supposed to be the finish of my kitchen extension/building work. And it's still not finished. It's looking good, but I reckon they still have 3-4 days worth to do. Kitchen units are half built (no worktops etc), and the flooring is half laid. Still have to finish details like skirting and wiring the actual lights in, and the cloakroom only consists of the basin. Oh, and the conservation doors were finally approved so they'll be fitted next week also!

My only real concern is how manic next week is going to be, as we'll be leaving for our family 3 week road trip at the end of the week and I was hoping to pack and prep in peace.

Never mind, at least I'll get three weeks of fun with not much cooking (mostly hotel restaurants) and definitely no more washing dinner dishes in the bathroom sink.
