Teen Titans: The Next Generation OOC

mm well..alot can happen in a year.... and given they were starting a war.. a lot could've changed

that's not a bad or good comment just a statement...

and yeah I figured take what we've already established and just alter it with time as a complete do over just seems kind of silly

not to mention we'd be having to do ring around the introductions... again -_- if it was a complete do-over of this thread

more introductions? bleh, though im not any more enthusiastic about the one year later idea, unless you can think of a really good explaination of what happened during the gap

Ok vote on your flavor of timeskip

One Year -- Her Majesty is dead. The Oracle is dead. There have been casualties on both sides. The system of power in Jump City is in chaos. What were once merely gang wars under the Queen are now a constant education in guerrilla warfare. The only safe places are Titan Tower(protected for now by a magical barrier) and The Underground. Those rare things called innocents have been relocated into new lives elsewhere thanks to the Justice League.

Two Years -- A new mysterious leader has risen in Jump City and accomplished something the Queen of Spades did not, ended the gang wars. This leader's reign is new and therefore presumably tenuous, but the calm that has settled over the streets only speaks of the storm that is brewing.

Three Years -- The Justice League has disbanded. Most of the criminals of Jump City have been wiped out. The citizens that chose to remain are now living above ground and relearning how to function somewhat normally. Patrols by the titans are performed in rotating schedules. A curfew is enforced.

I vote for three, but only if its like some kind of judge dread martial law system, if not, I vote one

I.... I have no idea what Judge Dread is..... sounds familiar.. part of me thinks he belongs to some post-apocalyptic film

I fail.

Also all details beyond the ones listed are up for debate.. after the timeskip flavor has been chosen

Timeskip- Yes. Please. Intros take FOREVER....

And Judge Dredd is a Sylvester Stallone film from like the late 80's/early 90's. I vaguely remember it. Main thing I recall is him screaming "I YAMDAH LAW!" at everyone.

oh please dont bring that up, the comics of dredd came out in the 70's, and they are awesome, yet people only ever go 'oh it was that stallone movie' that movie sucked

Hey, it's what most people know it as.
There are lots of good things that were tarnished or flat off destroyed by terrible attempts to mainstream it.

true, but i would just like to state for the record, that the comics are quite awesome, and that judge dredd himself was voted 7th coolest comic book character ever

Well, #1 would leave opportunities to write out a few chars if need be (Though I suppose we could do the same with any of them really), but also leaves a small enough gap of time that any developing relationships wouldn't have been too far in.

By 'relationships' she means she wants a proper chance for Kestrel to stroke Ronan's dorsal fin. *nodding*

That said, I'm in favor of the first one.

... mm my personal favorite is option #2 myself

She gon' hear him squeal like a dolphin.

*twitches* I just got this mental image of Alice minding her own business up in the Lounge area, and then cursing like a sailor because the high-pitched dolphin squeal just raped her sensitive ears.

You don't even want to know what kind of images I got from Lily's last post. *smirks*

Eh, 2 could work as well, but the main thing keeping me from picking it is that two years really does seem like too big of a jump when we were still developing some of our characters. Maybe if what's described in the first year happened earlier, with the second option having begun during roughly a year after the start of this thread, then it would work better for me.

I don't want to skip ahead too far, but number 1's idea doesn't gel with me. So I guess 2 or 3, no real preference for either. The only issue I have is pretending to know the other characters well enough to have been with them for 2-3 years when I really know very little about them. As much as we may want to avoid intros, we'd really be doing them again anyway just to make up for all that time.

I'm liking number 2 myself.

Out of curiosity, which Titans will be remaining, and as such which are gone? are we gonna do one character each or are we gonna stick with those who have multiple characters. Cos if at the end of the day it seems like Jules is the only one who's left the team....

But thats my randomness ideas.

lol there were more people than just us like... umm whoever was playing Lois..... and Green Arrow's grand daughter

if the third option had been chosen I was gonna discard X'Hal as it seemed like she would've gone back to Tamaran by then

u must have written that as I was writing mine, but i like the idea of the jump being only a year after what had happened, but with 2 storyline.

Ooh Ooh, I really want to know what happened in that year now... why did jules (& whomever) leave? How was Spade Queen killed? How'd Harvey's secret villainous imposters succeed (yes i remember the titans plans on what to do)? How'd the battles go? Did people get togethor and then break up causing bits of animosity? What did Batwoman and Robin actually do when they arrived after finding out that Joker was on the team? Who died during the missing year!!!

Questions Questions - all need to be answered!!
