I'm still totally confused (and intrigued) as to what exactly a parrothead is! I've googled it but it doesn't seem to alleviate my confusion. I have deduced that it is someone who likes (possibly cheesy?) music. Bob Marley came up a lot on google though, and he's not cheese in my book. Van Morrison, too was mentioned but I am still at a loss

Please put me out of my misery. Anyone who could care to enlighten me will be rewarded with a big smile and maybe a flower if I'm feeling generous.

Anyhow, my secret.

I very rarely wear underwear, (particularly knickers) I prefer to breathe ! Embarrassing on a windy day though!

I have always been a very confident and outgoing person, but I've never really liked crowds. Even in my college cafeteria I often felt tense, and get extremely frustrated when people bump into me.

In nightclubs, I have to try real hard not to start fights when someone steps on my shoe or bumps into me. God forbid someone makes me spill a drink. I used to hang out with thugs who thought it was funny to get into as many altercations as possible, but I'm too old for that shit these days. I just want to have a good time and stay mellow and I'm starting to realize that I get very anxious in the wrong environments.

I blame Elmopalooza; he has a duet with Kermit THE Frog there. But he also writes mystery novels. I was gonna be kind and tell everyone who it is, but it's more fun to play 20 questions. Here's another secret: sometimes I'm quite easily amused.

I only like classic and hard trance. Classic refering to trance when it was just breaking off of German Techno and EBM. I don't like the Dutch stuff by Tiesto, Corsten or van Buuren. The supersaw is not my liking.

LOL... I like some off Tiesto, I don't know Corsten or van Buuren. I don't know what the f#ck The supersaw is. I have 4 trance CD's. They're one album called "Trance 2000" And form that, I only like nr. 8 to 18. The rest I don't play. It's great carmusic, and puts the pedal the metal.
I also like "some" country music.

I don't know if I just don't love her or maybe don't allow myself to do:
If we both don't love each other, everything is fine.
If I love her but she does not love me, I will feel very bad.

Which does warm me to parrotheads somewhat, would you say this was true of you, snowy? Is it an eccentrics thing, like being a cliff Richard fan is over here? I'm getting the impression its quite an American phenomena or else, why haven't I heard of him? (not that I'm an expert by any means but I do think I know quite a lot about music.)

My secret is.... I am painfully shy. When I was a young person, I was afraid to call 411 to get a number (no exaggeration here). I was afraid I would bother him/her. I still suffer from shyness most of the time, BUT if I am among friends/lovers and/or feel safe, then I am almost an exhibitionist. It has surprised more than a few people.

Jimmy Buffet writes mostly laid-back relaxed slightly calypso sounding songs about the slow easy beautiful life in the Florida Keys. Not sure there is a Hawaii connection there, but I might be wrong.

He also writes some very funny songs. Once he had some trouble on the road with an idiot driver with road rage and afterwqards he wrote a wonderful tune about it:
