Texas roll call

Glad to hear that. When I went home to Texas for a funeral a couple of weeks ago, it looked green around the Waco area but when I got down to the Fredericksburg area, it looked pretty brown.

I've read reports that the Hill Country just didn't get enough rain this spring and is having a bad year for wildflowers. We headed to the Bluebonnet Trails in Ennis last weekend, and they were gorgeous then. I think they are probably peaking right about now - this weekend should be great also.

Good evening Texas!
Not too crazy about this unseasonable weather... I'm ready for the sun :)

It is alright if you live here, I packed for warm weather mind you the afternoon's usually turns out fine.

My wind burnt face can attest to that. At least it is not raining.

Look out San Antonio I am on my way.

Be careful down here. It's Fiesta Friday tomorrow. Pretty much the city is all Downtown for the day parade and all the schools are out. Some businesses going to be short staffed.

I will be at work grumbling. Oh well. Hope it warms up soon. This Seattle like weather isn't very nice.

Texan at Heart...

Mornin Texans... Canadian born, but Texas raised! Will be heading back to Houston in a few days to visit remaining family and teach a little tennis....

Love the HOMELAND....lol

Right!
This as gotta be some of the strangest weather we've had in a generation, apart from a couple of summers ago when it never seemed to stop raining.

We could certainly use some of that never ending rain up here these days....

Hello Texans! No I don't live in TX, but I sure want to. My heart is there altho my body is in Georgia. Texas is the GREATEST state of our nation!

I envy all you luckly people.

So get yer hubby to relocate and get yer ass here!

Better more Southerners than a bunch of damned hippies from California (the granola state, chock full o'nuts, fruits and flakes)

Grapefruit beer sounds like a lousy idea in theory, but that Ruby Redbird stuff is the shit.

noted, i love shiner and shiner blonde. maybe i'll grab a bottle of the Ruby Redbird one day to check it out. Didn't like the wild hare too much.

It's kinda like shiner blonde with a shot of grapefruit. Probably a chick beer, but I'll chug it without shame on a hot summer night. Goes great with tacos al pastor!

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my Shiner to be Bock, served in a bottle with an eight ounce glass. Damn shame I can't find a place that serves it that way any more, unless by request.

I hear ya. Ever tried Lala's Little Nugget on Burnet? Thoroughly old school. They have 8 oz. glasses, as I recall. Haven't been there in a while.
