Amazing what bronchitis will do for a poochy tummy. I'm back in my white paperdenim&cloth just in time for the summer heat! See, all you have to do is put your throat in so much pain that the thought of swallowing food causes more fear than a bullwhip, and presto! Flat abs.

Almost as good as bullemia!

Flat but flabby. Let's see some slow painful Officer and a Gentleman style leg lifts.

i've been working on my summer diet now for at least 18 years .... all i want is to gain 10 pounds.

Please email all contributions to me. Chocolate, sweet desserts, and candy would be greatly appreciated. :D Thankies!

At least I'm consistent with something.

Take an all-volunteer squad of slackers and go slack off on that hilltop; Sergeant. And don't come back until you've accomplished absolutely nothing. :D

Still with the program.

Yeah, so anyway, I was doing tricep pulldowns today and I looked over and realized that the quad-curl machine has a double-angled bench that breaks right under the hips. There was this Janet Jackson-looking chick with a baseball cap, gold extensions, a very athletic and muscyular body and an oddly aged Miles Davis-looking face working out on it. It lifted her hips up in the precise way that I *ahem* like. I was standing there staring, lost in thought...picturing her wrists and feet cuffed to the machine, pulling her tracksuit down over her ass, straddling her, riding her from behind like Slim Pickens on the A-bomb at the end of Dr. Stranglelove.... Then I came to my senses and thought, jesus what's wrong with me? Thoughts of sexual domination even in the gymnasium? And this chick looks like a @#$% drag queen. Oy.

Yes Sir!

As soon as I'm done watching a little porn. First thing tomorrow!

So I'm all better and ready to get back on track. One thing I learned from the last thread is that working out a few times a week isn't gonna get it for me. My new goal is to work out 6 days/week. I haven't missed a day yet, so I'm on my way.

Next week I plan to concentrate on my diet. I want to eliminate white rice, flour, and all potatos. I have a hard time with that one.

Memorial Day is but a hung over memory.

The white clothes of summer are out of mothballs.

And who is still with the program? WD? Are you still with it?

I am. :)

Try not to cut those out completly. That will only increase your hunger for it, making you feel bad, hungry and out of humour. Just a small amount now and then (like maybe two times a week), together with LOTS of veggies might work much better! :)

I'm in, was going to post yesterday, but I'm afraid to get on the scale! OK, just weighed in at 149.5 I'll have to check last week but it's at least 4pounds less. cool correction: 3.5 pounds

I'm not eliminating carbs. I just want to get them from whole grains and fresh fruits, rather then eating refined sugars.

And yes, still with the program. ;)

It didn't sound like you were eliminating carbs. But I know that every now and then I just crave a potatoe or a dish of the 'real' pasta, not the whole grain thing. And I figure that if you cange your diet completly from one day to the next (for me, leaving potatoes and pasta would be exactly that) after a short while you just crave for the "old" things... Could be only me of course.

True enough. My biggest problem is that it's pretty hard to avoid the white stuff and find whole grain products that are affordable without tasting like cardboard.

Bad,bad week

Well no one has said anything lately and I could use some encouragement, I'm way off track and gained six pounds back. I got off track and can't seem to get back. I think the last few months it has been so easy to drop weight because I said so-long to the smirnoff and that's what the loss was from. Now it seems I need to do more to keep losing the weight. Anyone have some success to talk about?

I've been going to Weight Watchers for a long time. My weight was slowly inching downwards (I do my big loss in the summer) and I'd dropped almost 35 pounds. Then in February I started gaining weight EVERY WEEK. Some weeks I gained 6 pounds. IN ONE WEEK! You would have to seriously binge for that to happening. Blood tests were no help. I was down to only having lost a total of 8.8 pounds. I stopped going to the gym because I was depressed about it. I mentioned it to a psychologist I see about every 6 months and he looked at my meds and asked when I gone to the generic version of Celexa (citalopram). I said December. He told me it was the drug, that they've been having problems with it, including decreased effectiveness and weight gain, and noone understands why because it's the same active drug...and it hits 8-10 weeks after you switch because that's the point when the brand name one has totally left your body.
So. three weeks ago I bit the bullet and got switched back to the brand name Celexa. It costs me $30 more a month, but in the past three weeks I've lost 1 pound, 1.4, and 1.4. I'm back into double digits at least with weight loss, and they think I caught it early enough that I'll lose more. So yay me :) . Now I just need to get my ass back to the gym.

Is that inspiring at all, hellbaby?

my goal- 0 by august. I'm already vegan, I already work out more than I'm supposed to, what else works?
