The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

If you have not done it already then I reccoment checking Youtube. It is amazing the amount of stuff on there. i did for my washer and it was a big help.
The UToob rules! I have a couple of those handy dandy type books that I haven’t opened in years, because I just go U-Toob’n and some guy or gal shows you the way! Had an old boat I was working on and looking at at least $1k to get it fixed. Went to the Toob, and Old man and his wife had a fix-it channel. He diagnosed my exact problem and for a .59cent part from NAPA, fixed the problem! 😍.

I tell my kids…YOU should be the smartest generation EVER.

Saturday night was turned upside down, as our our oldest dropped off the granddaughter so we sat by the fire, had a Makers Mark 46 (I did, she didn’t😄) along w a Rocky Patel.😉, and chased and played with her till pickup. Leftovers were good though, and off to bed early, topped off w a good nights sleep. Can’t beat that!

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. Weather has been mild. I hope it’s headed up to those that need a break from the chill. Your Norwegian MZ…

Driven 4K Miles in 54 Years: This 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Is the Ultimate Time Capsule
I’ve always had mixed emotions about stuff like this. Only 4k miles? What a waste! But…now you can command top dollar if you sold it…the new owner gets a cream puff…but do you drive it now? Oh the dilemma!

Cars are tools….drive the damn thing! 🤣

Found a forlorn anvil in Iowa. Price TBD:

I’m pretty sure I should be impressed. And I mean that.

What is an “anvil?” I have not heard this term before but I’m only a PT gear head.

Sort of torn on this. Had a mustang for a few years, hardly drove it for various reasons. Decided to sell it, and sold it for more than I paid for it. I did get to drive it when I wanted to, and in the end it didn't cost me anything to own it while I did.
Owning and enjoying it for 'free' is hard to complain about.

They were a pain to peel
I hate peeling eggs!

One trick I've found is when they done and still super hot, start filling the pot with cold water and shake them violently around until the shells are all cracked up. Then let them soak in the cold water. The cold water and abusive cracking of the shells seems to soften membrane between the egg and shell, and they peel much easier.

I am hoping to see the lights next fall! Headed to Alaska. Using the toob to help plan the trip!

Morning/Afternoon
I attended the 3:30, 4:30, and 7am clubs today.
Over achiever, I know.
Rolled the last bit of sleep into an extended nap.
Was hoping to get to a store that closes early on Sundays. Woke up with just enough time that if I pushed it, I was sure to get there just minutes after closing. Who needs that aggravation? Meh - saved me a few bucks.

Hope those who have been sick are on the mend or better. 🤗 to those in need. And healing thoughts to those still battling one bug or another. 🧫

I'm off to make coffee/tea and rustle up some vittles.
I need a grocery shop but just don't feel like it today (I never do tbh  ). Maybe I'll review the weekly ads and put together a pick up order for later - except for the produce. I have found it's best to select my own produce at all but the most expensive shop in town.

I boiled some eggs... had to float test them.... threw away about 6... they popped to the top

Gonna make egg salad later

They were a pain to peel
i was once good at boiling eggs. If I recall correctly if you throw them in to ice water when you take them off the heat they will be easier to peel. It may also be older eggs are easier to peel too.
