I am feeling overwhelmed with clutter so I want to just clean stuff up and get rid of crap
🫂 Deep breath and small steps. Set a timer for small blocks of time. You'll get there!!

This one time, at Band Camp...

Before my last move, I was getting frustrated with clutter and increasing mess. There were a bunch of loose papers stuck in my bookcase. I grabbed them to just throw them all out. Reasoning: I was just shoving them in but not going back to use them for anything.

I don't know why, but my Inner Voice said, "Give them a last look but be firm in what stays and what goes!"

Most was junk... but one?
One was my Original Birth Certificate.

So now when I declutter I always give that last look... but I stay firm in my criteria for what stays and what goes.

Work resumes January 2nd.

I hate being cold... but I hatpqying an exorbitant gas bill..... what a conundrum

Only my feet are cold.... I have socks and shoes and still cold
I can sympathize with you as I'm very anemic. Mrs Rj is the opposite. I have to dress in extra flannels & heavy wool socks. Room temperature can't be higher than 71 degrees because Mrs would suffer...

Fill a clean knee high sock 3/4 full with rice (not instant) and tie a knot in the top. Heat in microwave 30-40 second intervals until warm.
Put a pillow on the floor (to insulate) then sock, then feet, then blanket on top (to keep the heat in).
When the rice starts smelling burnt, empty the sock and refill with new rice.

I'm the same - if my toes are cold, then I'm cold. 🥶

I have so much stuff I want to do...should be doing and I am doing none of it.

I got that way a few days ago w @Mrswonderer. I couldn’t take looking at my kitchen or our bedroom for one more minute.

I was so tired of looking at stuff that had to be done.

She said “he who finds fault, finds work.”

But I couldn’t take it for one more minute, so did an all day deep clean of the kitchen. I still haven’t gotten around to purging old clothes and cleaning out my closet and cleaning the bedroom, but that’s next.

I think if you get started, you will feel better!

Mrs wonderer and I both get cold pretty easily too.

It's far from an original idea. These sock like things are sold for good money - but you can make your own for a fraction of the cost. Rice, corn, peas - you get the idea

Modern twist on heating stones in the fireplace and slipping them between the sheet and mattress at the foot of the bed to warm the bed in winter. Soapstone used a lot for this purpose, wrapped in rags to prevent burns from the hot stone.
There's a few places that still make/sell them... not sure what shipping would cost on something that heavy.

i can hear my grandmother saying
He who finds fault, finds work.
Im an Imperfectionist who can enjoy a bit of dust n cat hair till my beloved Wonderer can’t.
By the way.. my theory on Magic eraser sponges is that you buy only six and work them till they disintegrate. They expect you to throw them out when they begin to break down and grab another one, Not me.. our kitchen is fab clean on Six n Wonderer is
Smiling. 😁
