The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

5 hours behind the wheel fighting stupid tourists who can’t frigging drive. Get OUT of the left lane if you aren’t passing other traffic. 70% of the cars on the road had out of state tags. Thanks for coming here and spending your money, but GO HOME.

Great visit with our daughter and SIL. Good kids. Now enjoying some leftover brisket, beans and cornbread. Y’all have a good night.

I think this is true. I have honed my judgement skills.

In fact I’ve gotten so “good” that I can just judge people by their cat and their driving. 🤪

I’d like to think I’m right, but my fam members would know for sure!! 😂

Some days, I just don't want to people. Having nothing to say and not responding to human stimuli makes this happen. It's kind of like pretending to be deaf.

Back in the days when I commuted by public transit, there were nights after work where I felt this way. I would put on my headphones, bob my head a little, and just watch the People Show. The headphones weren't connected to anything, but I was the only one who ever knew. 🎧

So...to all my handy men and women

Under my kitchen sink on the west side of the house where the cold wind pummel my house it is cold.... would it be okay to put some thing on the back wall of the kitchen cabinet...

What would I use?

Or do I just not worry about it?

I'm assuming this sink is in a cabinet? Can you put a thermometer in there to define "cold"?

In general, unless you've had freezing problems it's probably not worth worrying about. All walls let heat through, and the cooler cabinet just means the cabinet isn't getting heat from the house. By letting it be cooler, you're not paying to heat it. If it doesn't freeze, then it's not a problem to worry about.

If it does freeze, or get close to it then let us know. We can brainstorm what to do...

I am just scared the house is 73 degrees..... when I moved into this house I thought everything was okay but it wasn't. let's see.....no insulation on the rim joists. standing water in the crawl space. my sump pump was a plastic bucket with nothing in it. my siding pops and their solution was to use nails to secure it. I can actually see the joints and some of my walls freaking separating and then going back together with the season. I got crumbling drywall in my bathroom where I don't think that they put the correct tape on it or get it right the root. I had storm damage and we went up there to check on it to make sure everything was okay he realized that there was nothing between the shingles in the plywood no underlayment no ice damn nothing so I had to replace the roof. The front and back porches are rotting off my screen door slammed open and the top rail of the back porch exploded into a million pieces like toothpicks. Oh and they're also put together with nails and not screws so all the nails are popping. the last owner used painters plastic as weed control so all the water was going right in the basement.. the mulch was was rotting and there was mold. Some of my doors don't close.. no foundation issues but settling. it just goes on and f****** on. And yes 8 got a home inspection. Some of this he couldn't help, but some he could. But it is what it is

Some days it just gets me down... being trapped in here with short days and cold weather doesn't help

Wow! Lots of stuff going on there. When was the place built?

In regards to your original question, freezing pipes would be the immediate concern. Do the pipes go down through the floor, or into the wall?

Can you check the temp with a thermometer? Or do you have an IR camera to look around the wall with (might be worth asking around if anyone you know has one. Great way to find heat leaks/poor insulation. )
