I was delighted back during the Pan-Fried-Demic that we were declared to be essential. I couldn't have afforded to be out of work, and it would have sucked anyway.


Mom's lights came back on. He eye appointment is cancelled. She can call to reschedule at her leisure.

Good morning all. Frightening images on the news channels here of the weather in some parts of the 'Beyond Pond'
I don't know where many of you reside but, wherever you are, I hope you are safe and warm at the very least.

Thank you! Storm experience varies by location but everyone seems to have gotten a round of Cold from Mother Nature. The Warm Wishes are very welcome.

Hunker down those in the way of the big storm! I am north of the big storm and it’s cold: wind chills in the teens. More cold coming.

However that view makes the whole month look like one, long Negative Zone (who needs that? )

I have found that a little ice cream just before I craw into bed helps. I remember my dad doing that and now I know why. I can make it till 4:30 or so.

This one's lots of fun - just don't throw the water on the sidewalk or driveway (safety first)

The Freezing Stuff in Below Zero Temps seems to have gained momentum about 10 years ago with someone in MN freezing some jeans and setting them up around town. They took pictures, tagged them with fun captions like "Freezing my pants off", and posted them to social media where they went viral. Now there's all sorts of "Freezing things" videos out there.
