I think cursing to me decreases the argument. It is easy to curse...hard to present a reasonable argument to make a point.

It depends…..if you never, or rarely cuss, the few occasions you do people take notice. As an English Gentleman I don’t. On the few ocassions I do people stop in their tracks and think ….Crap we are in trouble!. Nothing to,do,with my 4th fan karate black belt and loaded triple barrel shotgun of course! lol

I walk from the Sauna to the house in the nude. Did so at -5F last night.
Quite often I'll roll in the snow between heating cycles. (Have you ever made a snow angel naked? That whole process is, um, er, "Refreshing"...)

Not yesterday tho, it with the temps that snow would have just a bit too much bite. 15F or 20F it's more reasonable.

While cursing won't make you smarter, recent studies show it can be a sign of intelligence. Not sure why smart people curse, but for some fucking reason we do!

I've also seen it happen as mental decline starts kicking in (Alzheimer/Dementia). However, I'm absolutely sure you're not in that category...

So when I was in HS I almost flunked English (how could I almost flunk my mother tongue?). However I’m quite fluent in redneck and I hold an advanced degree in profanity. If you’ve ever driven anywhere with me you’ll quickly learn how fluent I am.

Even worse, I ignored red flags. Always broke, house a mess, and had been a grandma for a year and didnt know it. When she called me a "coward" for my kids, I kicked her out. But wait.......she was cute!

I’m hosting a virtual panel on Friday for 1000+ salespeople with five experts. We also had the marketing project manager who will go over marketing materials. She was supposed to also moderate the panel and the questions. After several days of deliberation, yesterday, she said she didn’t think she was the right person to moderate the panel and that me or my boss would be the more appropriate person!

I (and my boss) happened to have all day meetings yesterday and also worked till 9pm
Working on documentation and slides. I was also in meetings all day until lunchtime today.

In the meantime, she is IMing me today like every 10 fucking minutes. “ have you sent the questions to the panelists”

I just called her on teams and read her the fucking riot act. Just because she says she’s a fucking marketing project manager, she’s got a break out of her comfort zone. OR she has to give us more fucking notice if she’s gonna drop the ball.

“Your lack of confidence is not my emergency.”

I don’t have any time or patience for pussies. I don’t mind developing people and helping them grow, but not when they’re gonna take the cowards way out.

Venting is done. Now back to your regular programming.

Sorry you had to go through this. I see, working with younger generations, a complete lack of initiative and responsibility. And then when you bring it up as a critique then you are being aggressive and adding to their anxiety. Listen you little twit, you don’t know the first f#*king thing about real anxiety. Good morning!

Long day yesterday. Cold too. Didn't get above 28 I don't think. Funny thing is all the snow is predicted to be just a couple of hours south of us along the Gulf.

Salted caramel again this morning. Nearly out of that lot and then it's back to boring old snickers flavor. Who am I kidding? I love that stuff.

Not getting my hopes up but Goodyear and Phillips 66 asked me to take assessments. I hope that's a good sign. One of them administers a video assessment. Ever heard of one? I've never done one. It's when you read a question then giving a minute or so to prepare an answer. Next you signal your ready, and then video your response on camera. Now, there are two reasons I think this would be needed. One, the position being hired for is for public relations or oration of some sort. Second is more nefarious. Judging the applicant for their appearance such as race, color, age etc.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why a shop floor worker at a production plant needs to have a video worthy presence to be considered for the job? I get that its just another form of the in-person interview process but...recorded?

Fair warning.. I may be in a mood

Few inches of snow in South Texas and the whole state paralyzed. My town is small (2,000 people) it was a ghost town.

As a child, I asked my auntie why she didn't go out on those days. I knew she learned to drive in a major Midwest City... no stranger to winter weather and show. Auntie: I got game. I'm scared of what all those local fools might do with 1/2" of snow.

This morning it was 2° out, my wife dared me to fill up the birdfeeders and put out water in the heated birdbath.
