At the show the other night, it was funny to see all these giant middle aged skinheads and punks wearing ear protection!

And yet, I applaud them.
I recall a concert by a pop-country star decades ago. Took a younger sibling as they liked the star. We were both very thankful I always have some Kleenex on hand. We weren't even near any speakers and both felt our ears were bleeding. Way too loud!!!
(Sounds like an older person's opinion - they were under 16 and I was early 20s)

Triaged a defect. Felt like Captain Obvious, but called out that the issue wasn't present before our last software upgrade. Made a note & sent IM to Team Lead that our last test environment on the previous install was due to be updated tonight.

Someone listened - upgrade delayed while we triage the defect w/ the vendor.

My riding lawnmower won't start qnd my push mower pull string thingy is broken......

I'm getting a battery operated mower. I don't want to deal with gas & oil or have to use a pull start. I can never get those going.

I need to get a trickle charger. My neighbor said he would do it but he has a lot on his plate. I just need to take my push mower to my dad. I was also considering buying a new one. This keeps happening, and it is so old that it doesn't self propel anymore if it ever did, and it's like pushing a wagon with no wheels to mow. It was gifted to me, so it may be time to just buy one.

That's what I decided, too. We have a gas powered mower that hasn't been started in probably a decade (or more)! I hired a guy to take a look at it. He changed out the spark plug and pulled on the ripcord but it still wouldn't start. He said the carburetor (?) might need work but, at this time of year it might be in the shop for months with no guarantee it would be fixed.

My push is a Toro, as well. My husband mowed the grass until he felt he could no longer see well enough to do it anymore. Then he hired a lawn service. I offered to do it if he would start the mower but he thought I didn't really have time. I was still working then.

Some changes to some tax papers we received means amending a whole bunch of returns. I pay someone to do mine, there is too much shit to keep track of for me to be able to do it correctly.

I received good news today!!! The IRS has released my refund!!!
