Trying to bounce back from the hitch and trip home still...
I've about shaken off the trail dust, now I need to make my to do list.
It starts with celebrating Naked Sunday and spoiling my Goddess.
We did finally try the Cajun restaurant that we've been wanting to and it was really, really good... I can easily see that being a guilty pleasure that we do after every hitch.

Happy Saturday! Got home and realised I left the damn computer in work town. Imagine the litany of vulgarity, triple it, and you will be close to what was said. So it goes.

Went to see Dr Tyler on the way home. After yesterday‘s hand job phone call with the healthcare providers, I did not see any improvement. If anything, there may be some deterioration. Basically, she’s just waiting around to die I think. It happens, I suppose.

So it goes….

Sorry about your mom. Hopefully she finds some peace. This is never easy.

Worked around the yard yesterday, put the lazy kid to work raking, made a Home Depot run to basically just get a pair of gardening gloves. Walked out with two small trees that had bows on them…in the Christmas spirit kind of thing…

I don’t do anything Christmas until after Turkey Day. It’s just how the laws of the Holidays are written. Ya Do Halloween—Ya Do Thanksgiving——THEN the very next day if’n you please, Go Full ON Christmas.

So, I buy the trees, NOT because of the bow and one is basically a real Christmas tree (Alberta Spruce) but because I have two pots on the patio that needed fill’n and evergreen’s (the other was an arborvitae) look good in those pots…

So, I’m in Turkey mode…just so ya know..

OH, and a new bird feeder and food…just because…I like tweety.

Dropped in for a health&wellness for momma, and made semi plans for the big feast next week. We’re scaling back because the kids are heading to TX, and SWMBO may be in tow, so it will only be she and I and my youngest. We’re even talking about nixing the bird and going full hog…Honey Baked Ham and fixings. If SWMBO stays, she will make a bird…she’s very good at it.

Oh Lawd those good! I haven’t seen that kind of frosting in ages! My mother has one of my grandmothers Betty Crocker cookbooks. Probably around that same age. She also has either an old church cookbook or something that has Turtle Soup in it.

No, not the little Florida cooters and box type…the Big Endangered or protected Loggerhead type! . Filed under Seafood…I kid ye not. I’ll look for it and paste it here…

Back from the store. Don’t know what possessed me, but I bought a ham. It’s a little one, a piece of a ham, but it is made out of pig. We don’t do turkey here.

I probably live with 75-80% of pork as a main dish, but that is because of the meat market I use, having some of the very best I've ever laid hands on!

Decades ago, I went on a beef kick, eating 3 to 4, 20 to 26 Oz sirloins a day.

Having built and operated commercial hog farms, I can "smell/detect" commercially raised pork upon ENTERING a Kroger, or any other store... Miller's meat market has ZERO of that... even the fat is delectable!

Nothing against tose who do, but I personally don’t like that when I got it stores and the Christmas shit is out on September 1st.

Mrs. Wonderer knows that when I run for political office, it will be under these three rules.

Halloween cannot be celebrated until October 1 at the earliest.

The month of Thanksgiving is for Thanksgiving!

When I am president, it will be illegal to put up anything related to Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving.
