Today was a long motherfuckin day.

The project manager for one of the few projects I’m supporting from a change management was fired (or left) today, THE DAY BEFORE we go live with a new technical integration…

Someone muckety muck said we we could probably “fall across the finish line.” But of course it ain’t that easy. Lotsa small details, some of which yours truly hadda deal with.

And I was gonna take tomrrow afternoon off to get a few tattoos I scheduled months ago. I’m still gonna do it. We figured out who’s gonna do what tomrrow now… so I think we’re good…

I'm feeling a bit ridiculous but being that I was alone in the building at the time, I did what any rational adult would...

I rock-starred it like I was in a prime time sitcom. :ROFLMAO:

Emergency Protocol - put keys and phone in pockets ✔️

Next I grabbed an empty plastic bag and a grabber tool. Used the grabber to lift the produce bag by its handles.

Slowly carried the grapes out of my unit and downstairs to the main entryway. Set the bag on the tile and stepped back for a few deep breaths.

As the spider didn't have the common courtesy to run away... I then used the grabber to pick up the top bunch of grapes in the bag. Shook them and twisted them to ensure that bunch was arachnid free. Put that bunch into the empty plastic bag.

Then picked up the next bunch of grapes. Same routi - HELLO! Little fucker dropped onto the tile.

I used the grabber to pick up the remaining grapes to put them in my "safe bag".

ProTip - store your fresh produce in the refrigerator. It helps keep the spiders subdued - making them easier to, well, kill. ☠️

As much as I would have loved to outsource this little endeavor... thank goodness I was alone and there's no CCTV in the lobby. :ROFLMAO:

True Story -
When Likes2 was a junior in high school, she had zero interest in going to college. She looked into several Other Options... including Peace Corps because she likes doing Good Works and Being Of Service to others.

This freaked out her mom as Likes2 was to be the first little birdie out of the nest...

So mom sat Likes2 down and proceeded to hold a one-on-one seminar we shall call Bugs Around the World.

Guess who went to college :rolleyes: 😂

(OK, OK. The 12yr old in me is snickering now...)

Another cold one this morning. 21F, not as cold as yesterday. But still a hard frost out there. The garage roof didn't melt until well after noon, even with full sun.

Feeling a little better. Managed a few minutes on the last big project of the fall. Not a lot done, but enough to say there was progress.

I was working on my project in the attic yesterday and will be today. I was glad to see the temps got down to the 50's this morning and will only be in the 80's today. It gets hot up there!
