My grandfather was out running errands and came home for lunch, had a heart attack in his front hall and checked out within the hour. I have the chair he sat in as he died. Ethyl sharpens her claws in the ugly fabric. I may get it covered in something decent one day.


Now she's looking at me.

He is in tough shape. They removed more clots from his knees.

He has no use of his legs now. One of his arms is maybe 50%z He will likely need FT care… it’s heart breaking.

Have I been Spell’n Mamma wrong all this time?

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone has a great one. Ours will be a thankful one but low key.

They called Mamma (Mama?) in early yesterday, then we sat for close to 2 1/2 hrs…. That was the low point, as everything after went fine. Two cemented disks and other than where they put the needle in, she said she feels a lot better. Kept her off the Oxy and crawling out of windows and just Tylenol. The youngest and I platooned watching her last night (I snuck off to throw darts) and then I spent the night.

Woke up and we watched some Macy’s Parade, then I turned the gas logs the wrong way and spent some quality time on the floor cussing getting the pilot light lit on her ancient logs. Cleaned out her fridge…there were…some offensive smells coming from a bowl of tuna, so decided to just wipe out stuff that needed wiping.

Back home and will get everything cooked here then back over. At some point I’m going to pour a Maker’s 46…

Unfortunately no.. Our invited in laws couldn't make it because of health issues and the freezing weather.
It's being postponed hopefully to next week

I was stuffed. I ate the pumpkin pie in the afternoon. Then took a walk with the dog. It was a very short walk as very cold windchill.

The Lions lost .

But I cherish the time I spent with friends. Most would have been alone. I’m glad we did this and think we can do it at Christmas too.
