I love working this time of year for this very reason. I don’t hate people - I just feel a lot better when they’re not around me.

but at the same time, I like people and I’m a people person.

Complicated?? Yup!

When I was not retired and working I felt the same way. I loved to have the quiet time and yet missed the people. Enjoy this time.

It turns out she has strep throat as so does my daughter. Also my daughter has cellulitis from a spider night. She was at urgent care and diagnosed with a staphylococcus infection at the bite wound. She is on heavy duty antibiotics.

Nothing special planned today just some groceries and a call with my sister. If the weather is good, I may take a trip to see her on the 24th.

We're in the middle of a good storm. Had to go out and clear driveways this morning, and realized I needed fuel. So, off the the next town over for a couple of 5 gallon cans worth. They sure rape you for #1 diesel now. Damn near $5 a gallon!
(But still way better than having it gel up. Ask me how I know...)

Anyway, we're at 10F, 30mph winds, and snow falling.

We're supposed to meet some friends tonight for dinner. We haven't called it either way, yet. This looks bad, but as long as the drifting isn't too bad, it'll be fine.
