If u ever need the chickens in the coop fast pull up hawk noises on u tube and play with speaker on..... they will vamoose for cover quickThe outdoor kids got to come into the yard and play/graze/browse. Hell, we even got the birds, too. It's kind of a pain in the ass to get them back into the pasture, but the luring with apple pieces helped get Telly Hardhead relocated.
Dr. Tyler had several snowman glass canisters that she used to fill with her eggnog and give to folks. They leaked unless the lids were firmly taped in place. I think we took a look at them and recycled the lot of them. Oh well . . . .

Well dang itNew Poodle is a touch less withdrawn. He is hanging with Baby Poodle. Telly is being less an asshole. No goats in any backhoe buckets today. Got the Connex levelled out, so that's good. The car I wanted to put in there didn't start. I'll give the other one a go tomorrow. The batt'reh was croaked. It's on charge tonight.
People that want to go jome are very motivated to work hard. Esp if they have something to go home too.Wife's rehab for her hip replacement is going well. Someone told her today that she'll likely be discharged on Tuesday. She's been working hard in phy therapy sessions. Didn't know it could get this lonely in our house. Luckily, my old Newfoundland/retriever is here with me.
Yep there is the discharge to the eternal care unit (aka freezer camp if we are speaking of chickens or beef cows)There are (at least) two kinds of going home . . . .
Night hun, pleasant dreams.Off to read. There be stuff to do on tomorrow's horizon.
These weasels won't tame themselves . . . .
It’s very complex mating dance. This came to you during an epiphany?

Sounds like all the animals are acclimating and getting used to things.I wonder if that works for ducks, too. Good news for them is, they move as one. There is one who will swim alone while the others don't bother, but that's a very few minutes here and there.
Fred was more social today. Daisy got snacks during supper.
Glad your wife will be home soon. Fingers crossed she’ll be out next week!Wife's rehab for her hip replacement is going well. Someone told her today that she'll likely be discharged on Tuesday. They can be fun...I was thinking about getting chickens in 2026 for the farm.
F ing poison ivyMorning was spent cleaning up Christmas chaos. Boxes, wrapping paper. Organizing presents to be put away.
Tried to put together Mrs wonderers birdfeeder w camera, but she wasn’t comfortable putting it on our home network. We couldn’t get it connected anyway, so back it goes.
By 11 I was taking apart the giant ash tree that fell. It was/is massive. I originally thought it would be 1-1.5 cords worth. But I think maybe more than 2 cords. The problem was that there are tons of poison ivy vines on it, so slower going.
Also refilled all of the wood bins at our farm stand before the snow and skeet started.
The roads iced really quickly. Supposed to get 3-5” of snow.
