The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Now you're being fancy.
Yep. Got my favorites, too.
I enjoy all rye but pumpernickel is a favorite.
Was introduced to a Liverwurst on Pumpernickel with mayo and lettuce sandwich in my 20s. 🤤😋
So glad I had time to enjoy that one before I became intolerant to most all meats.
So yummy!
She must be swedish.....hahahahahahahahaha
Oh no! Not the whole Norwegian... Swedish deal... *runs away* Keep me outta this one! 🤣
If Santa fits in my jacket... I'm gonna cry 😭 LOL
That's why I like 'em... I 😍 a good tart!

We split wood today but it was the wood that was covered in poison ivy. I took as much of the bark off as possible. I am sure I have it all over my work clothes but I’ll wait to wash it till we knock the rest out. I do have a couple of PI dots from last week. It was cold out and we got about a cord split, stacked and covered.

I have a tactic for watching a lot of football games. I record them all and stay busy and then wash them so I can fast forward through the commercials.

They are fucking unbearable.

I wanna punch that Allstate mayhem guy in the face repeatedly let and then kick him (w steel capped shoes) till he is a bloody twitchy and lifeless pulp.

Anyway… glad to see Indiana win. I am only a few minutes behind the live part of the Georgia ole Miss game. Like to see ole Miss win but I could barely care.

I think I’m going to bed.

Happy ‘26 everyone!

Any recommendations on the Native American tribes' books?
My wife has American Indian on both sides of her family…paternal and maternal great grandmothers. Sadly we don’t know what tribes. I’ve been researching for a few years. We’ve narrowed it down to Tiguan, Apache, possibly some Comanche, but unlikely I think. Anyhow, here is a list of some good ones:

—The Heart of Everything That Is: The Untold Story of Red Cloud—Bob Drury & Tom Clavin
—The Earth is Weeping: The epic Story of the Indian Wars for the American West—Peter Cozzens
—The Apache Wars: The Hunt for Geronimo, The Apache Kid, and the Captive Boy Who Started the Longest War In American History—Paul Andrew Hutton
—Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Imoortal Photographs of Edward Curtis—Timothy egan

Short Nights is about a Photographer who spent over 25 yrs living amongst quite a few tribes out west. The story focuses on him but there is much to be gleaned from the book.

Anyhow…this’ll get ya started.
