We have 5.6 in New Jersey about two years ago for someone who’s only been into earthquakes in my life, it was a hell of a thing…

Back in Aught Eleven, we had that one here that damaged the Washington Monument. About 15 minutes later, I got a call from a Lit buddy in Texas to check on Wat and makes sure he warn't slewn. Killt. Whatever. That was in September. She died of a massive pulmonary hemorrhage in May of 2012, so that was the last time we ever spoke.

Same down here. I recall in basic training the DI telling us a hot cup of coffee helped you cool off because you sweated more. He was out in the hot sun as much as we were.

Morning denizens of the diner. It’s hunker down weekend. The temperature goes down into single digits. My old dog does his duty very quickly. No messing around as it is too damn cold.

I do recall taking the snow blower and making a path around the yard so the dog would have a place to get a run in. 30" is the most I remember and it took a few days for the snow plows to get to our house. They had to bring in back hoes to clear some of the roads because of drifts etd.

I have the motor home so I can abandon ship. We came down here in the winter a few times and if I had to do it over again I would have kept the cabin in Pa and brought the motorhome down here in the winter.

There is good and bad with everything. I don't know if I would do it again. There is something very satisfying about sitting in front of a nice warm fire and looking a the snow out the window.

Yes, go early and get a second and third opinion. I had a small lump in my neck and my family doc and a VA doc shrugged it off. I went to a ENT and two days later I was in surgery and a week later I was in surgery again after the first surgery healed.
