The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I drank a few of those beers.
Do you remember reading beer? And of course Yeungling.

Yes, it was an expos cup.

I was a big expos fan. I loved them. They were the black sheep of Major League Baseball. But they were often quite good.

Coco LaBoy, le grande Orange, the Hawk, rock Raines, vlad the implaler, Dennis Martinez (el presidente), Larry walker, marquis grissom, delino deshields. Man they were so good back in the day.

Off to see some weasels.

Oh, there is another foot-o'-sneaux forecast for this weekend, both here and at the hooose. There is no end to the Wintertime Joy . . . .
I thought I saw there would be more snow. A low off the coast. I hope everyone is safe and warm. We are having relatively cold weather down here in FLA. It will only get into the 50s

Yep. Same sort of shit. When I build a kitchen, I think that I shall have more dedicated circuits than are called for, just for this reason. In case I want to air fry my microwave or verse visa.

Kitchen appliances should be destroyed by other kitchen appliances. It’s the law of the kitchen.

You should build it so you can also iron at the same time and vacuum at the same time!

I remember Reading and of course Yeungling is still around. They have a large brewery here in Tampa and there is a six pack of Black and Tan in the fridge. It has a low alcohol content and so is not too bad for my aging brain.

i don't recall much about the Expo's but I can walk to the BlueJays training facility here in Dunedin and the Philles are a long walk away. I saw some guys out on the fields the other day in uniform.

Hiya 3am-ers!

Didn’t get time to add much yesterday. Work was workey.

People were peopley. But in the end, it was fun.

I have organized a dive bar monthly get together w a buncha friends at work. A colleague (who is not an American) asked me about all of the old school bar mats on my desk at work. PBR, schlitz, Kubler, Ballantine, etc. a bar mat from a really divey bar we found in Miami - Mac’s Club Deuce.

I mentioned they’re all old man beers. Stuff you’d find at a divey bar.

“What is a dive bar?” She asks. “I’ve heard this term, but do not know what it is.” We both googled it cuz honestly I didn’t know why it was called a dive.

Last night was our first chapter meeting of The Royal Order of Dive Bar Enthusiasts Club of Central Jersey. Only four of us made it, but fun and bar pizza was had by all.
Sounds so fun!!!!

Me too. I was up for about 45 minutes, but thankfully got a little more sleep.

I was supposed to go to the Philly office this morning, but it was for a very minor reason… a friend’s birthday…

And I have an 8 AM meeting so I did not feel like leaving here at six…
I was supposed to go in today for team building.... i choose not to team build with these people right now....

Slight argument w the missus over how best to keep our farmyard clear so we can continue to sell firewood.

Me: “please… I know what I’m doing and I know how it’ll work. Don’t worry.”

Her: that’s precisely why I’m worried!

Touché!!

But I need to get the farm yard cleared of some snow before we get any more snow. Then I would definitely won’t be able to get the truck in there to bring wood from the farm yard up to the wood stand.

You should tell her what my mom does after almost 60 years... she shuts her eyes and covers her ears until dad is done.... and then gloats when he messes it up
Hahahahaha

I agree with what she says, even if she has no idea what she’s talking about.
