I'm more curious about how loud the blowers are, and how much power they consume?

My application is slightly different, for completely different reasons. But stealing the idea and hardware makes a lot of sense!
We barely hear it. We can hear the hum of the fan in the room where the venting fan is just outside.

But it’s not too loud.

I could not tell you how much power it consumes.

Some. 😂

I have a secret plower! 😂

Someone who studies lubrication and friction...
Wait, that sounds dirty...

Someone who studies rubbing surfac...
No, still not right...

A guy who's into oil...
No, still not it.
I know we’re on a sex site, but this is all getting a little weird! 😂

Exactly! Some common sense goes a LONG way.
I still prefer freezing over canning. Although with enough salt/vinegar or sugar canning is fine. Both salt and sugar act as preservatives.

So eat that salty and sugary preserved food. It's life or death we're talking a bout here! :ROFLMAO:
Its all about the ph of the food u are canning. I took care of a lady dying from botulism

Different beasts.

Honestly, we're getting better at surface finished on bearings, and some manufacturing tolerance controls. So engines are tighter now than they've ever been. Lighter oil makes sense, to some degree. (If the old 350 needed 30w50 to make oil pressure, that's what you used! :ROFLMAO: ).

The problem with these new engines (IMO), is the engine oil is also used as hydraulic oil in the variable valve timing actuators. Hydraulic oil and engine oil are different, and cleanliness matters more in hydraulic applications. Bottom line, Clean oil = Longer life. But manufacturers are recommending longer and longer oil service intervals.
You're absolutely correct about them being tighter.
They're also running them waaaaay hotter than they used to for "emission standards."

Hello lovely lady! How are you today?
Not too bad. I am having some house stuff. Expansion tank on water heater is bad. Showers are cold because i cant turn up the heat without tripping the overflow safety valve. So plumber is coming back to fix. He fixed the water mix thingie on the shower handle thingy. He is also gonna do a cheater valve on my sink

BUT there is a pipe leaking in the crawlspace. Not a plumber pipe a furnace pipe. Called hvac he is going to come on sunday he hopes. He says he thinks is a humidity something or other and i could turn off the stop the dripping or ask the plumber the plumber said he had no odea and i dont either

Any chance it could be condensation from the wild temperature swings?

I guess it's all relative. I've seen guys mess up a lot of meat with a rifle or shotgun/buckshot.

A pheasant bumped off a bumper, or deer bumped in the front half leaves a lot of good meat.
Or that stupid grouse that broke it's neck flying into your window. Them is good eatin'!
(Good eatin' = right there and free! :ROFLMAO: )
Grouse is something I've ALWAYS wanted to try, but never have gotten to!

Very familiar with NVH, noise, vibation etc. Isolation, from pipe to blower, blower to building etc.

Cart before the horse here, tho. First step is making sure it resolves the issue. After that, a permanent install will be wanted.
(Actually planning on closing the control loop with a speed control to adjust pressure as needed. Sensors, phase angle speed controller, pressure sensors are also on the way...)

I was also thinking this might be a nice to ventilate a small enclosure for 3D printers, etc.
Mine on the outside has an off and on switch weatherproof housing. You could go that way. And instead of having an off on switch, use a variable speed switch. As long as it's waterproof you should be fine. Even better.Since the wiring is there, you can put the switch inside and make that a variable speed.

They're hotter because they're trying to get the power density up. More HP/cu in means a smaller engine can do the job of a larger one. But we both know what happens when you push an engine hard for a long time.

-40C and -40F are the same. That's one point I always remember.
Because I don't have to convert it!

We're finally starting to trend above zero F. Right at 0 most of the night, and up to 6F this morning. Although the forecast isn't for much better.

Anyone here ever install a radon mitigation fan/system? Radon isn't a problem, but the fan might solve a problem for me...

For me, I remember that ethanol freezes at -173*F and boils at 173*F.

Is that dripping off of duct work?

The manual in this one says 0-20W oil or you'll void the warranty. It's a tough gamble. Void warranty to maybe make the engine last longer??? My concern with light oils is they design the clearances to be tighter in the engine, which means less clearances! But as the engines are designed for lighter oil, they may not last with thicker oil.

My current plan is to run 0W-20 until the warranty is up Then switch to 5w-20 or maybe 5W-30.

The biggest thing is to have shorter change intervals. Currently I've chosen 4000 miles. Since filters and oil are cheap, I might drop to 3000 miles...

Any Tribologists in the house?

I would go from the 0W to the 5W20. I would use the 5W30 in a much older vehicle. It's what I use in the anvils. They are slow making oil pressure, and lighter oil is easier to pump. Ask your cardiologist about blood thinners and why they are recommended and then think about pumping stuff in general.

Do the anvils have an oil filter?

You just reminded me of getting 200F water inside of a rubber glove... that's the day I QUIT wearing rubber gloves in heat applications and started bare-handing hot water or oil.... I remember that I couldn't get that sumbitch off my hand fast enough! 🤣

One winter, I was making tea. Boiling water on the stove in my lovely red kettle - no picture. I had on heavy wool socks, and I managed to spill some water on the top of my right foot. It didn't hurt all that much and then I remembered that the sock was wet with 200* water and that my skin was in contact with it. We loathe burns as a kind/type of wound, and that one was quite exquisite.

My mom burnt herself on an ice pack
