That fuckin' Little Johnny and why wasn't he beaten witless?

The teacher asked the class to use the word “fascinate” in a sentence. Molly put up her hand and said, “My family went to my granddad's farm, and we all saw his pet sheep. It was fascinating."

The teacher said, “That was good, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate,’ not 'fascinating'.”

Sally raised her hand. She said, “My family went to see Rock City and I was fascinated.”

The teacher said, “Well, that was good Sally, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate’.”

Little Johnny raised his hand, but the teacher hesitated because she had been burned by Little Johnny before. She finally decided there was no way he could damage the word “fascinate,” so she called on him.

Johnny said, “My aunt Carolyn has a sweater with ten buttons, but her t*ts are so big she can only fasten eight!”
I heard it a little different.

That fuckin' Little Johnny was near dancing in his seat. "Teacher I got to pee!"

The teacher patiently asked little Johnny [I usually use Calvin] to use the word “urinate”. When you can use it in a sentence I will let you go.

Johnny not wanting to ask if he could pee sat and thought about it intently.

Still squirming about uncontrollably little Johnny raised his hand as if it were part of a dance move.

The teacher said, “Yes Johnny what is it’”

Little Johnny stood up next to his desk legs crossed and said

“Urinate! And if ya had bigger t*ts you'd be a TEN!”

My buddy in Weaseltown - the flaky woman buddy - got canned from her new job. They told her that she's "too ambitious." I know and see what they mean, but she's also consistent enough that she was like that in the interview, too.

Honestly, you want more business? She's your gal. Don't rein her in. Let her go.

They did her a disservice.
Ugh! I hate that! Hope she finds a better job at an organization that will treasure her!

Dates are a common sub for sugar unless your bakery item needs to retain a lighter, whiter color.
Eaten alone they will spike my blood sugar but I like baking with them.
While it's an extra step, I prefer to remove the pit myself. In truth buying them with the pits already removed may not dry them out. There's a great Middle Eastern Deli about a half hour drive from me that sells scrumptious Medjool Dates in bulk. They're like Nature's Caramels
I love dates! I need to try date brownies!

So, a little about mt trip to Spain. It was a small two hour hop from Manchester to Gironde where my pal collected me and headed to his apartment. Amazingly it sits right next to a campsite where we rented a lodge 36 years ago for holidays. It’s a beautiful area of rocky coves and now very upmarket.

It’s a small apartment with two bedrooms on a 1960s gated complex with pool. Great for holidays and short term stays. On arrival I was told that as we would drive I was chef for the week, the fridge was full of food just get a good meal on the table after every hunt.

I was sorted with hunting license, gun license and would sign into each club daily at about $30 a day.. each area in Spain has a government designated hunting area for each club. He is a member of one club and we were to hunt at other clubs as guests all pre booked. We had 6 hunts booked with one day off, which as it happened was heavy rain.

The clubs are all so welcoming and despite the fact that almost nobody speaks English I got by. My pal speaks Spanish but here they speak Catalan! He doesn’t! It’s a very nationalistic area that would be independent given the chance.

Hunting is largely in mountainous areas of forest where hounds drive boar (hogs) and you hope one comes by for a shot … or even deer in some cases. You are reliant on your ears to hear the rustle of leaves as a boar approaches. Five hours on your toes watching listening and waiting with forest life going on around you. A mix of meditation and anticipation.

It turned out to be a tough week unusually. I had only one chance at a boar that came in over my right shoulder that I missed. My pal didn’t even get a shot. Onetheless it was a great experience and I will be back for another try next year!

I will sort some photos and share in a separate email!
Sounds like an amazing experience, G! I can't wait to see the pics! 🥰
