I will admit a movie in one sitting is difficult. However, new movies are difficult as the actors made a really loud political statement before they started.
Then there are series available with no commercials via streaming. We can binge whole seasons in an afternoon and evening. Are they YouT000b shorts?

In my part of VA the rain is supposed to stop near end of the week. My water hoses are going back on and I am going to wash the car first thing. Its so gummy you can't wash the film off the windshield with the wipers and spray. I also hate the feeling how dirty I am if I bump it or have to open the trunk.

My part of VA sucks. My driver's mirror on the truck is so filthy that it's all but unusable.

The car mired itself in the back yard. I'm giving it another day or three before pulling it out. It has to go in for state inspection for its next trick, and it sure needs a bath, too.

Fleetwood story. I may have shared, so if you’ve heard this one before, cut me off…

Broke on the line in Birmingham around ‘04-‘06 timeframe. Doing the maintenance paperwork and I notice a bunch of…people…not something you usually see on a flight line. Some of them carrying what appear to be 33 albums?

So I’m finishing up and this small gaggle has turned into a medium sized crowd, so I elbow a guy…”hmmmm, what’s up doc? What all the hubbub?”

Fleetwood Mac is about to land he says.

So, curiosity killed the cat, and I”m now part of the gaggle.

Sure enough, a tired-assed old 727, comes howling in (still had the old torpedo style jets slung on her) and when they shut her down, the ramps came out for the front, back and the tail cone (the one DB Cooper supposedly jumped out of) and the roadies start flooding out like ants. The door at the front, there appears a tall dapper man in pressed jeans and flowing white puffy shirt with a neat leather vest and British style motoring cap. Mic. He walks down, speaks to no one, gets in HIS van and speeds away.

Next gentleman, dressed exactly like the first, gets off, same process. John, speeds away without a word.

Next gentleman, Lindsey, dressed a little more casual than the prior two, very friendly, asks a young lady holding an album if she was want’n him to sign it. She nearly faints and hands it over. He proceeds to chat quietly and sign auto’s and whatnot, then jumps in HIS Van and speeds away.

Then, the White Winged Dove comes out of the back exit, with a granny walker and hoop curlers in her hair the size of farming tiles! . I keed you not!

Boyhood fantasy: ruined.

Christine wasn’t touring with them that year…she was a no-show.

Crowd disperses but the crew on noticing me in my little sailors suit, asks me onboard. I hung out on FM’s 727 for a tad. Even though she was old. They don’t travel like you and I do…OK, that probably excludes OM…she’s flying First Class in those pods sipp’n the good stuff…

There is more to the story…but that’ll have to wait for a fireside chat…

Then, picked up my friend for a Costco run. Her hubs is NOT going to allow us to go shopping together!

I have a friend like that... I usually drive and she navigates b/c my car is bigger. That time she spotted a backyard tile sale. I stood guard while she called the hubs. approved - it all fit in the car. They set up a backyard patio the next weekend and enjoyed it for years. More than she wanted to spend that day - but the patio was a find. Fantastic clearance price!

I did have to go to the Mitchell SD Corn Palace tho. I got there during the Cirn Festival

I liked it all. The corn in Iowa was amazingly tall that year. Which was good, because I was very much over Dr. Tyler at that point and was looking for places to lose a body . . . .

I took the day off. I had it planned.

Our cat, beasty (aka chappie) was so happy to see us. He slept on the bed all night, which he never does. He hung out all day.

Filled up the wood stand first.

Then brought my car to the shop for a few things.

Then I took a nap. Man it was amazing.

Mrs wonderer and I cleaned the basement a bit and finished assembling a light stand for her plants.

@Missk_2022 But wait… theas mooooah!

Then I planted a buncha trays of marigolds, one tray of echinacea and one tray of coreopsis.

I could get used to not going to work.

But tomrrow it’s back to the grind.
