OOC: Hey I'm sorry I didn't answer your IM yesterday. I was talking to someone else and that IM box covered yours so I didn't see it untill he got off but by then you had said you were getting off. Sorry

IC: We continued to attack Kronos with all we had but I knew that the bastard was almost immortal. The only thing that could kill him was nowhere around here. Which meant trapping him would have to work but what was there that could hold such a monster?

I turn to Jean and tell her "We need to capture him. He can't be killed by anything we've got. Did your dad create any traps?" Kronos had heard the whole thing and was trying harder to fight past Jeans shadows and my energy beams.

IC:
"W..what..." I shook my head to clear it.

"What dop you have in mind?"

 

[Renegade]

Renegade

I tell her "We can't kill him so we need something that will contain him forever. Do you have anything that can do the job?"

 

[RoseThorn]

Shadowess

"Forever? Well...Dad had a gateway machine. Some of the other worlds are unescapable..."

 

[Renegade]

Renegade

Nodding I tell her "That should work, we need to get him to it." With that I charged forword and grabed Kronos by the waist and lifted him in the air.

"Let go of me boy!" he yelled as I carried him with me as fast as I could. My grip held tightly as I took his hits and kept running with him.

"Led me to that thing!" I yell to Jean as I follow her lead. This was going to be our only chance.

I nodded, the shadows moved to help Renegade as I ran through the castle's twists and turns. I arrived only seconds ahead of him, but it was all I needed. In a few pushes of a button the machine roared to life. A piece of air seemed to charge, then form a dark hole....

 

[Renegade]

Renegade

The dark hole formed in thin air as I brought Kronos with me into the room. Just then, he breaks free and slashes his claws against my chest. "Ah crap!" I yell in pain as I clutch my chest in protection.

Kronos flings a table towards me but I roll out of the way barely. He had me cornered...

 

[RoseThorn]

Shadowess

I glanced up as Renegade was cornered. I called the shadows and the pulled him back, towards the portal. She felt the shadows begin to falter as he drew even with her. She had no more energy to give....

Kronos smiled evily. I glared and kicked him in the chest.

 

[Renegade]

That kick cought Kronos by surprise. Running forword, I jump up and deliver a round house kick to Kronos's face that sends him back enough that he ends up in the portal. "Dammit no! It will not end this way!" he screams as he try to fight his way back through the portal.

"Sorry old man but it does" I tell him as I fire another blast at him that sent Kronos flying back through the portal as it closed. And with that it was over. Kronos was out of my life forever.

I walked over to Jean with a smile "We did it."

"That you did" said a voice from just outside the door. We turn to see Ratman leading Sparrow and Invisible man who were carrying Whiz-Blade over their shoulders.

Whiz-Blade awoke and asked in a dazed voice "W-W-What happened? Did we win?"

Ratman tells him "Yes we did old friend. Thanks to Shadowess." Whiz-Blade looked up in disbelief then rested against the wall. Looked like he was finaly realising that Jean wasn't so bad after all.

 

[RoseThorn]

Shadowess

I smiled at the others, happy to be finally accepted by Whiz. I felt so tired though...I felt the darkness eat away my vision and felt arms catch me as I colapse.

 

[Renegade]

Renegade

I cought Jean as she collapsed from the exhaustion of all the action that had just happened. Picking her up to my arms, I tell the others "I think she needs to get some sleep guys. So maybe we can celebrate another day?"

Whiz-Blade just nods as he makes his way out of the castle ahead of us.

Invisible man ask "So how do we find our way home from here?"

Ratman tells him "I'll give you a lift, just let me help the kid here." Ratman helps me get Jean to her room where we lay her down on the bed and pull a sheet over her.

"Thanks alot for the help Rats." I tell him as he makes his way for the door.

As he prepares to leave, he tells me "Anytime kid. And thanks for helping Jean." As he leaves, I watch over Jean for about another half an hour or so. I then get up and prepare to leave the room...

OOC: I forgot to say that I got to get off for awhile. I might get back on later but not sure. If not I'll see you tomorrow. Night

I'm in a big room, Dad's working on a machine. I smile for a moment. Then realize he's dead. He turns to look at me, his face twisted into the snarl of anger he'd never used with me.

"This is you fault...If you'd paid more attention...Kronos would never have gotten into the lab....."

I wake up with a strangled sob, looking around.

 

[Renegade]

OOC: Got back, but can only post this then I got to get off. Later.

IC: My head jerks around at hearing Jean awake with a start. I see her sitting on the bed, her hands covering her crying face as she sobs on about her dad.

Taking a seat next to her on the bed, I put my hand on her shoulder and ask "What's wrong? Have a bad dream?" She tells me the whole dream as she fights back the tears.

Once she's done, I put my arms around her in a hug. I tell her "It was just a dream Jean. You know that what happened to your dad wasn't your fault."

She begins to cry harder onto my jacket as I tell her "C'mon, don't cry Jean. I hate to see you like this."

Her head rests on my shoulder as I rub my hands over her back to warm her. We stayed like this for a few minutes, nothing else mattered to me at that moment other then her.

I begin to calm slowly calm and I nuzzle Renegade's chest, relaxing.

"R..renegade? Could you maybe...Stay with me?" I say softly, keeping my head against his chest. I can hear his heart beat and it's...nice, to be held.

OOC: Sorry for not replying yesterday. I forgot to tell you that I'm cutting out most of my threads right now due to less time so we need to end this soon because I don't want it to just end out of nowhere you know?

IC: Holding her to me, I tell her "Sure thing, Jean. I can stay with you for the night if that'll help." I lean down to give her a friendly kiss on the forehead to help comfort her.

When my lips touched her skin, I could tell there was more to it for me then just an innocent kiss. Jean and I had become so close lately that I felt like there was more to us then just a friendship. I wondered if she felt this way for me too.

OOC: Ok, n/p....

IC:
I nod and sigh softly when he kisses my forehead. It feels so nice to have him hold me like this....

But what would he want with me? I sigh and push the depressing thoughts away. Concentrating on the sound of his heartbeat as I press my ear to his chest.

It all just felt so right to be like this with Jean in my arms. The moon light, lite up the room as the calm sound of the castle kept us content in the moment. Brushing some hair out of her eyes, I begin to pour out my heart to her "Jean, I know we have not known each other that long. But in the short time we've been together, I feel that we've become very close."

I stop there for a moment to run my fingers threw her hair once more. She truly was an amazing woman. I finaly tell her "And I know this might seem odd considering how short a time we've been together but... I think I'm falling in love with you."

She looks up from where her head was resting, and meets my gaze as we stare into each others eyes. Did she feel the same way for me?

I almost stop breathing when he says he was falling in love with me. It meant...it meant I wasn't the only one who had these feelings. Was it love? I thought so. I wasn't an expert, but it FELT like love....But....

"I...I feel the same way Renegade but...I'm still looked at as a villian. Are you sure you wanna even attempt to go any farther with this?"

 

[Renegade]

Renegade

Keeping her close to me, I explain to her "That doesn't matter to me at all Jean. All I care about are the feelings that I have for you."

Without another word, I lean forword and kiss her gently on the lips. We stay like that for a moment just letting ourselfs live in the moment.

Shadowess

I sigh softly against his lips as we kiss. I pull away smiling at him and curl up against him, still smiling. I feel myself drifting off as I snuggle against him.

She snuggles against me as we both hold each other in a tight embrace. I watch on as she begins to drift off into a deep sleep. I stayed awake for about an hour, just laying there with her in my arms.
