The AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room 09

There's a thing happening. Has been for a while. Not sure if it's progressing or what the cause might be.

I went to type ' ... be more ... ' and it came out ' ... me bore ... '. Letter swapping in places where it makes no sense at all and isn't an auto-correct error.

I'm seeing that too, I think my keyboard is rebelling. I'm getting very simple, strange errors - when I swore I typed Him it comes out Them and things lick like that

It's 80° here, sunny with puffy fair-weather clouds, soft breeze... and we are at a nudist resort. Here's to you, TxRad.

We are having a wonderful day. Time for another walk down to the pond.

We're going to Chicago late next week and staying for a few days. My daughter there is buying the dance school she's been running for the last few years. On June 1 she will take her first bow as owner of the school, and we're going to be there.

It's the first time ever that we have no friends or family available to take care of the place -- the cats, mostly. Our kids will be with us, my wife's BFF has her hands full taking care of her own herds, and her kids are (finally) all out of the nest. We're hiring a service, and the cat sitter came over this evening to set up the schedule. It was a new experience.

Congratulations to your daughter. That's great.

If you can keep the cats in their own home, so much the better.

Good morning!
It's been the busiest week in ages with doctors appointments and Emergency Management training. One last day of training before I am a County Watch Officer. (We assist Police and Emergency Response teams with communication) and HOPEFULLY I can finish this story, I left it with quite a cliffhanger. I expected a lot of pushback for that because it's kind of cheesy leave with a cliffhanger.

Coffee is on for all you early risers

Ack! Yesterday's postcard day is now a stormy, rainy, thundering mess this morning! We are packing to return home and there is no way I'm going to be able to load up the van in this deluge!

On the bright side, at least I managed not to sunburn my buns yesterday. Three years in a row, the first couple of outings to our resort cabin concluded in a rosy and painful glow. Could it possibly be I've learned my lesson? Nah. Can't be.

We are having a brief break in the environment to actually have some weather. Actually, nonstop rain is fine right now - both the farmers and the firefighters need it.

I think I'll go ahead and make a fresh pot, 'cause missing Tx.

I need to catch up on work as I spent a bit of time getting my Geek Pride story in (approved in under 40 min, go Laurel!).

But it's reasonable weather, and I have both a Bank Holiday and the King's Official Birthday off work, so will be a 4-day weekend.

About to get very busy, I hope. Trying to again today to work on my own shit! I have drunk a pot of coffee, I have some sweets ready, and now I just have to get my mind to the story.

There is going to be a geek deluge of massive proportions tomorrow. I have 3 waiting the signal to jump.
I look forward to getting feedback on my first LW story. Not the feedback itself, probably... It's only 3000 words, too, with happy wife-swapping, so if it scores above 3 I'll be impressed.

My other story is in EC, so we shall see. Work is going annoyingly slowly but need to be sent off tonight.

These last few days have been a doozy. Spent most of yesterday and into today down with the nastiest bug - seems to be paying but I'm being cautious. Tomorrow I have a mandatory 4hr road trip to complete, so I'm resting up today.

That means laying on the couch and writing. More chapters submitted and more in editing.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to handle coffee, but I'm about to try.

I got a good start on a story today. It may end up being my Halloween entry this fall. I'd like some Darjeeling, please, hot, no sugar, no milk! Make it strong. I need to keep writing.
