the "ask crazychemgirl a question" thread

Forgive me for asking the question if it's been asked...but if you are going the speed of light in a car and you turn the headlights on, do they do anything?

Lol, it's fine... This question actually hasn't been asked yet.. So yay!

Since one cannot go the speed of light, this question is therefore hypothetical and has no definitive answer....

Interesting query though... Thanks!

No, spring cleaning!

Lol, I'm too old to be snot nosed.

All people with new degrees and no practical experience are snot-nosed. Your summer experience, no matter how elementary, will be invaluable when you're back to school.

I understand what you mean.... And yes, it already has been.

"making lemon squares and studying organic chemistry"

That is an interesting combination. Those lemon squares may end up with some interesting ingredients.

Nah, studying doesn't involve experiments..... lol

Hey! We're supposed to ask YOU questions! It says so right there in the title!
Not gonna go exposin' my daydreams like that, no sirree.....

It's my thread, I can do what I want..... So tell me, lol

Actually this question (really a variant of it was the "Gedankenexperiment" the observers is moving at the speed of light and looking into a mirror -- what does the observer see?) was asked by Einstein which led him to the special theory of relativity. In a non accelerating reference frame light always appears to be traveling at the speed of light. It's just in other observers reference frames (those not in YOUR reference frame) where things start to seem to act weird.

OK... I've got a question...
Why are differential rotations commutative but finite rotations are not?

That's right, torture it out of me.

Whip me. Beat me. Make me smile.

sounds like you'd like torture a little too much... lol

I'm way too tired for this question.... lol
