The Author Above Me...

The author above me, not sure if she even writes...

I've only seen her on the boards and know her as a fun-loving, witty, sarcastic person with a very favorable group of supportive friends.

As of her writing, I'll check it out and have a read ;-)

Doormouse is always up for a laugh, and is very sexy. As for her writing, I'm affraid I've never read any of it. She likes to join in with all the others on the board and seems to fit in well.

Ok, time for a little pep talk here, methinks!

How the fuck can this thread, and the concept of it, be so damn confusing!?!?! LOL!

We need to hold the form of the thread and keep it as "The Author Above Me".

There have been some great comments so far, I loved what Dr. M. had to say about Gauche, for example. Also, I've heard comments from others about authors I haven't read yet - which encouraged me to check them out.

If you want to comment on anything someone has said about you, or someone else, please do so in brackets and make it clear that the next person should overlook you and revert to the previous poster.

Also, if you haven't read that author and/or have nothing authorly to say, then don't comment on that person, leave them for someone else. I don't want this to become a "Oh yes, she's/he's a nice person" thread. Nothing wrong with that kind of thread, but there's plenty already.

Thanks for you time and co-operation.

Lou - in a bossy mood. ;)

(P.S. Thanks Cloudy and RG for some great words about me. ) :p

P.P.S. Carl is next...

Tatelou

The Author above me:

Tatelou is one hell of a crazy bitch who writes stories to make your gut hurt from laughing!!

One story comes to mind... her nude day entry. Humor/satire my ass!! That was your life wasn't it? LOL

She has one hell of an imagination, and portrays emotions and surroundings exceptionally.

Personally, I have read and commented on a few of Tatelou's stories. Impressive is one word, brilliant is another that comes to mind. One very talented writer.

What do I know about her personally? Fuck all, actually. LOL

She's a very caring, loving, funny, witty, patient person. She makes me laugh and hasn't been posting on the boards half as much as I'd like.

She's a fantastic person to turn to for advice, and willing to offer it even when you don't ask.

A born leader.

(Carl East was next, sorry)

(Rulebreaker. :p But, you are forgiven, because of the great comments. Thank you, sweetie. )

Now, back to Carl!!!!

Lou ;)

Carl East.

Hell, I've read his stuff, I can comment now LOL

He's witty, very charming.

I love his AV!!!!! Voted my fave overall.

His stories are well written, with a gentleman's touch.

Not too smutty, but with enough erotica to keep the seat damp :D

His imagination astounds me. He can go from one topic and develop it exceptionally, to one completely different and make it a masterpiece also.

I was amazed at his talents.

Great thread Tatelou. I'm learning a LOT about fellow posters here.

Good stuff Carl. Thanks for the read(s).

Now I am VERY glad to have started this thread. I hadn't read MSL's story before, and through a desire to comment on the author above me, I just went over and had a read. WOW!

MSL only has the one story here at Lit, but now I cannot wait for more. It's rare to read a debut as good and well rounded as that. Very well written, too. There's great narrative throughout and it was very real and believable. I particularly liked the scene in the bathroom - those inner thoughts, conflicts and so on.

She touched on many of my thoughts and desires the first time I submitted to my Dom, and only a slut can fully understand how to write that. I know she won't mind me calling her a slut. ;)

Yes, the author above me is a very good writer and I very much look forward to more submissions by her - in both senses of the word.

Lou :rose:

P.S. I was almost loathed to be the next one to comment, as I have already been "done" plenty in this thread (;) ), but I wanted to bump this thread and once I'd read MSL's story, I just had to comment here.

Katie,

How kind of you. I was tempted to bump this all day yesterday, but thought that might be a little heavy-handed. I'll let the Mrs. know about you kind words when I speak with her a little later.

One very fortunate Lime

The author above me.

Lime. awesome guy with an awesome wife. ive yet to meet a couple that made me smile as often as these two do.

Hat wearer extrodinaire. ready with a kind word, pat on the back, or push on the bum to go write.

kind and generous

and.. though ive only read two of his stories, i thoroughly enjoyed both of them.
his Benefits of Reading is my personal fave.. even more so now that MSL added her viewpoint.

not to negate the other stories hes written which i have on que for my summer reading.
Kudos !LIME

I'm just sneaking in to say thanks to Tatelou for bumping this thread. I was itching to say how fabulous mrssublime's story was, but feel I've been done to the death and didn't want to be the next author lol

Yea, the only thing Lou isn't telling us is what if somebody else is posting right as you are "HUH?"

I'll try anywho, vella is a funny, sexy person who gets me wet. Whether reading her stories - She Had Had Enough - is freakin hilarious, or talking on the threads, she is great.

Now I guess I go see if somebody posted before me and then everybody thinks I screwed everything up.

Lisa Denton, wonderful writer - I read Jen's Trip Ch 01 and will go back to read Ch 2 later - and nice person, with an impressive collection of pics; specifically girls with toys ;) She makes me smile.

Submit more woman!

The author above, Just Legal.

Having only recently read any of JL's work, I was impressed by her depiction of a first time love-making. The writing beautifully and accurately created a feeling of lust tempered by tenderness; desire for each other, as well as desire for themselves. A clever mix of mood - tender, sensual, sexy. A lovely depiction of a long-awaited consumation...the nervousness....the almost obsessive passion.

Loved it.

I only know as a poet and a poster so far, but I love her poetry and I will read her prose because of it.

She writes in free verse and her love of wordplay shines through. I have the impression that she is very honest in what she wishes to express and she is more concerned about communicating her emotions than about whether her technique is perfect, which means it is personal to her and I admire that.

I would be shocked if I found her prose to be any less insightful, and I will certainly continue reading her work.

Belegon..........for the third time since I joined AH.....speechless. Thank you.

The author above me...Belegon.

First off, a fellow san diegan which means I half live in the same city as him. Second off, in the tiny amount of time I've been here, I have noticed him to be staunch in his effort to never sacrifice quality for quantity. All of his work is descriptive but in a way that's more subdued instead of the usual dickens describe everything and its mom style. It's thus a nice blend that brings you a picture without sacrificing action to do it.

Lucifer_Carroll

Last Man On Earth. I expected Humour, got Satire, and enjoyed every minute of it. Makes a wonderful point within the story and I'm considering sending a link to a friend who keeps claiming he'd love to be the last man on earth!

I don't believe anyone did a "writer above me" on Dr. Mabeuse.

First and foremost, Doc is an author.

His writing is first-rate, especially in the areas of BDSM, Sci-Fi, and Erotic Horror. His Matt Danger series, a BDSM take-off of the hard-boiled PI genre, was a joy.

What many Author Hangout types don't know is Doc spends a lot of time helping new writers over on the Story Feedback Forum. Along with a few other writer-types such as Pure, Colly, and Black Tulip, he gives in-depth critiques to folks like me at the under-used Story Discussion Circle.

Thanks for all the help, Dr. Mabeuse.

Rumple Foreskin. What can I say? Always talks sense in the Hangout. Articulate, witty, sensible, funny. Writes beautifully. Go to his member page, pick a category you like, read the story. Any story. You'll find grammatically accurate, beautifully written, torrid, tender prose.

If you think I like his work, you're right. I've been rationing myself - there's still quite a few I haven't read. Yet.

... is mentioned on Lou's website if I'm not mistaken. So he's gotta be good. :) (Sorry haven't read anything by you yet, but I haven't read anything on here for quite some time, dunno why. [only been reading the Lit Olympics] )

Snoopy

What can I say? I have been a huge Snoopy fan for much of my life. He is just so darn cute and lovable. Everyone knows he is a writer ("It was a dark and stormy night..."), but what I did not know is that he is also a poet!

And a good one too. His poems are touching and eloquent. Very well done... elegant use of language and touching imagery. I enjoyed them very much.
