I listened to this podcast from Chris Williamson about female attraction:

It's a bit lengthy, but it's really interesting. He and his guest dive into everything from penis size to body type as well as personality traits.

For those of you willing to listen to it, I'm curious what your take is on the various topics they touched on regarding what women find attractive. I really want to hear from the ladies about what they think!

The data regarding female preferences for penis size weren't surprising, although disappointing just the same.

Women prefer taller men. True. It was also said that women prefer something akin to the "dad bod," which I really don't agree with. At least in terms of how people define what a "dad bod" is. I think women are attracted to strength but they also want a guy who is well-built. Like Chris said, they're looking for a guy who is capable of winning a fight.

I enjoyed hearing the evo-psych reasoning they discussed. It's speculative, but interesting nonetheless.

The thing I think is hilarious about this is, the size we apparently say we want when asked for measurements is generally bigger than what we say we prefer when given the choice from 3D models to "interact with" (heh) It sounds like they need to survey more women who shop for their own toys.

What size do you actually prefer?

I'm not saying an "outlier" isn't fun every once in a while, but for regular or long-term good times I fit right in the range he describes at the opener. Anything up to and over 7 inches limits what you can do with it unless you're into kinks related to that, and 4.25" around is more than plenty for a versatile cock I can enjoy in any hole.

The penis size stuff was about all I found interesting in there, I skimmed much of the rest. I always cringe when people apply evolutionary biology to the psychology of human sexuality and relationships. I guess it's okay if you want to just analyze a bunch of statistics but at a certain point it starts to seem like cope. People aren't beholden to their animal impulses and we're stupidly good at contravening our biology.

That's a good point. I think our evolutionary past definitely drives our desires (including some of our kinks) but we're not slaves to it.

Brutal truth? So silly…

Like others who have cited the Prause Study, which used 3D phalluses to ascertain women's preferred penis size, he failed to mention this:

The Phalluses presented to study participants lacked any anatomical detail, including testicles, and (of course) they weren't attached to a body. So, these women were basically choosing their preferred DILDO size. And to use a dildo - particularly one without molded testicles - it needs to be grasped. So, if a woman wants 5.5" of insertable length (which is the length of an average penis) she'll add an 1" or so extra length knowing she'll need to grasp it. This could easily explain the results of the study, as they pertain to length

And women's preference for 'Average' dick length is confirmed by online retailers who report that the average size dildo purchased by WOMEN, is that of an average size penis - about 5.5" of insertable length.

Besides, so what if women might ideally prefer a slightly longer than average penis? Where is the big insult? ..Since pretty much the dawn of time, men have fetishized large breasts... And women with smaller breasts have responded to this slight with little more than an eye-roll. Yet guys, by comparison, can't let go of this stupid penis-size nonsense! The fucking idiots.

And the women described in this podcast would probably care more about a handsome face, a full head of hair, a nice physique (NO man boobs) and being tall more than dick size. Ask yourself, have you checked all of these boxes first before obsessing over your stupid dick ?? :ROFLMAO:

I realize I might be an outlier myself, but those 4 traits (5 if you count his inches) are far, far less important to me than these two: grooming (are you clean, smell nice or neutral, look like you give a fuck about your appearance without making it your hobby), and self-assuredness or a sense of his own worth (such a turn off to hear someone you're into just downgrade and drag themselves)

I have a "type" I suppose, like the collection of features that always catches my eye (let's call it a pre-DC Jason Momoa and/or 2000s Rob Zombie kind of look), but I have crushed on, lusted after, dated and fucked people all over the map appearance-wise, and I always found something attractive about them.

I was asked out by a coworker once when I was in my 20s, and he was 6" shorter than me but he had gorgeous eyes. It turned out some of his interests turned me off at the time, and with other strikes already against him, I decided not to take it further, so I never got to see if he was rockin a kickstand or something, but the guy showed no lack of confidence, which goes a long way as long as you're not a pig about it.

It's good advice though, to not obsess over parts of your anatomy you had no choice over and can't change, like your cock or your hairline or basic facial features.

Try instead to be a content and confident person (or practice faking it until people can't tell the difference anymore).

Take care of your health and mind your personal grooming.

Stop listening to manosphere prats and pickup artists, and anyone who pitches biological determinism as an explanation for why that hot girl won't date you.

Get a hobby that naturally lets you into spaces where the M/F ratio is less sausage-heavy, start interacting with girls in low- to no-stakes environments until you can talk to them like any random person in line at the ticket counter.

Just some thoughts. I'm not an expert at anything, just a middle-aged woman with an open mind and a– according to a certain type of guy– prohibitively high body count.

Yes, well said. The guys in this podcast may not be stupid, but they are idiots nonetheless. Their reductive take on relationships is ridiculous and probably doesn't bode well for their own pursuit of a life partner.

It's very hard to imagine a woman finding a guy who is interesting, kind, funny, reliable, relatable, handsome, charming, attentive etc... but then telling one of her friends, "Yeah, he was perfect alright... But his dick was 3/4" less than my preferred length, so I'm back to searching...."

What's the part you consider "brutal?"

you got to hit the major sex organ of a women. her brain. fuck the shit out of it!
You wouid be astonished at how rarely a proof of the Pythagorean Theorem works as a pickup line.

It's about as appealing as, "Hey, baby! If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would group all the vowels together at the beginning! Wouldn't that make sense?! And, and then, I would pair all the voiced consonants with their voiceless counterparts -- D and T, B and P, V and F -- why does alphabetical order have to be so damned random!?" [At this point I'm shaking her by the shoulders and she has my spittle on her face. No other of my bodily fluids will be there tonight.]
