California and Nevada are dry heat, as is Arizona. If you come south in the states, I’ll make sure the AC is on

Now, if you’re talking about the mountains of NC, then that’s different. Temperature is usually 10° to 15° cooler than the piedmont and the humidity is less. So, it’s very nice, especially in the summer

I’d rather flee to the coast. The NH coast stays a little cooler, usually, at least if there’s a breeze.

When I have visited, it's the temps and humidity combination in SE Asia that can really take ot out of you physically

That’s what sunscreen is for!

I don't need sunscreen, I need sunblock!
Sunscreen 30 under a parasol. I was slightly red after two hours. So I'm very careful about the sun.
I have no trouble with the heat as long as I drink a lot of water. So if you see a tall pale bloke sneaking in the shadows when you are around the south of Europe, it could be me.......
