Still the prices in hawker centres is still cheaper than our food courts. I can pay up to $25 AUD for good Hainan Chicken.

I've heard of Laksa being sold at (translated back to local currency) 50-100!!! (depending on which foreign country).
When a good bowl here can be gotten at 7 or 8, provided you know the local spots.
