The Cozy Corner

Happy Saturday/Sunday all! Curious what’s everyone’s first choice for food that’s not the native food of your country? Like, Mexican (if you’re not in Mexico), Chinese (if you’re not in China), etc.? Either for take out or in a restaurant?

(I was going to say non-X food, but realized we have people from several countries here and it was too complicated!)
Mine is probably anything middle eastern but if you want me to be country specific probably Turkish.

1st choice is always Mexican. Cheese baby!

German food has a special place in my heart. Various sausages (wursts), schnitzel, spaetzle, and so much more. I could go on but you get the idea. 😉

The sandwich I had at the German style brewery the other day was amazing! I have to go back and try their other food (and beer)… I think it’s the only German food place around here now that the best German restaurant in Boston closed over COVID.

Sorry about the German restaurant closing. 🥺 Covid changed a lot.

It's hard to find good German food so if it's available I usually jump at the chance.

(I feel like I should point out I wasn’t shouting Covid, that was autocorrect!)

Yep. That's why I love the game. Powerful women.
A wise man 😉
I’m trying to figure out how to say have you ever had some British sausage as we have loads without it sounding errmm 😬
I've had bangers and mash but that's Irish. Not sure how much different British sausage would be.

That's a tough one. Probably Korean. East Asian cuisines in general are amazing in Australia.

Favourite dish is a beef stew called yukkaejang (육개장). That hits the spot in Winter.
