It went well. I'm working through some workbooks to learn. I painted these yesterday. I'm going to do this book and then go through and do it again later and see how I progress. (or don't progress)

I am loving the shading and the creativity already! The trees/leaves geometry is so trippy in the most fantastic way. Love the colour choices also.

One of my nightscapes. Don't ask me how the water blending works. It was a pain and involved a lot of drying and smearing. The Moonlight reflections on the water was one of the most deceptively difficult watercolour tricks I had to execute. @ScarletDaisy

I keep summer sausage in my fridge, to serve with cheese and crackers or to grill for sandwiches.

But somehow I'm not sure if you're hungry or thirsty.

Even within the same sentence is a little silly. I'm nowhere near capturing anything other than water motion and some lighting.

I have a hard time keeping my paper from warping with dark colors.

A gentle pass with a hairdryer tends to help. Also warping could be caused by too much paint in one spot. Try blending and building lighter layers to darken. I like to keep copious amounts of paper towels handy to dab.
