Ok, I’ve been debating benefits choices for the last hour… (big thanks to @MidwestPrincess23 for stellar health insurance help!) I need distraction. Is @SirCorneliusWankumbush around to annoy? Or does anyone have any good stories from their day?

I was at a appreciation swaray and a casually yet well put together dressed older man comes up to me. He shakes my hand and we shot the shit about working here and what do I do, ect. It was going swimmingly until I asked what he did for the hospital. He smiled, said, "I work in administration" and quickly made an exit. My coworkers were aghast...."you seriously didn't know who that was?!?" Only the 12th president of the University...who employs me.... .....my coworkers have been sending me emails giving me the hardest time. My own wife has suggested it might be important to know who signs my check.
The president? I emailed him and I've saved his reply.

I may be JUST me but I am blessed to have legions of people who come here everyday to care for those who entrust their education and care to us. It was lovely to speak with you and know you are part of that team.

I don't have any work shenanigans to disclose (NDAs and all that jazz ).

I do have something though. We spent a couple of hours at the beach and on our way back we decided to stop for ice cream. We just got out cones, turned around and the top scoop on all our cones fell off.

We were laughing hysterically when one of my cousins says, "Reminds me of my BF when his balls dropped - with a wet splat."

The poor kid at the ice cream stand must have barely been 21 and he was all shades of red.

I told the president, during an annual meet and greet, that he had mustard on his tie.

He wasn't the kind of guy that smiles but he started laughing and said it wasn't mustard. I kept looking at him hoping he'd elaborate but then he turned around and walked away still laughing.

Freaking weird.... Tech company CEOs are a weird bunch.
