Rise of the Guardians. AGAIN.

(Actually, this is one of the better ones if I'm gonna be watching a movie over and over. Baldwin as North is brilliant. I just find myself hoping Jack Frost is legal. *snicker*)

using the image and story starter below to generate idea for this easy exercise.

in two hundred words (or more if you wish), describe what's beyond the antique glass door knob.

story starter: I hadn't seen the door before. It wasn't there last night. Cautiously, I turned the handle.

I hadn't seen the door before. It wasn't there last night. Cautiously, I turned the handle. I normally didn't do this sort of thing; I always shied away from doing the unknown thing. The door slowly opened up. I held my breath and then slowly released it. I stood in awe of what I was seeing. Before me was a lovely library. This was the kind of library that could only be described like the “Beauty and the Beast” type. I walked into it. I slowly turned around in a circle, trying to take it all in.

"Hello, Miss. I've been waiting for you."

I gave a shriek. My eyes opened wide, and I stood there frozen. Who was there? How?

"I am Professor Bookworm. I've been instructed to wait here for you and to get you whatever you'd like."

I must have asked those questions out loud. I moved quickly towards the door. I was not going to stay there, not with this stranger, in this beautiful library that just appeared overnight.

“Please Miss. Don’t leave. This library was made especially for you. I am here to help you. Not scare you. I apologize.” Professor Bookworm motioned to a chair. “Please, sit. What book would like to read first?”

I hadn't seen the door before. It wasn't there last night. Cautiously, I turned the handle. Nothing happened. It didn’t budge. Me being me, I stomped my foot like an overgrown child not getting the newest toy in the candy aisle. Oh yea, that’s how irrational my temper tantrums run sometimes. On a scale of one to ten, it wasn’t that big. I was alone after all. What’s the point of playing the child without an audience? Damn purple shiny thing. I mean really, who’s Decorating for the Stars nightmare is this? I can’t stand purple. Or is that crocus? Who comes up with these idiotic names for colors anyway? All I want is a decent woman and a cheese sandwich. I’d settle for a beer.

There was an almost inaudible click. Testing the handle, it opened with only the slightest of complaints. It sounded like the last time I had to beg for sex and my unrelenting persistence succeeded. Sure, she squeaked and whined the entire time, but blow-up dolls are like that. I’m going with a new silicone one next time. I get too lightheaded from adding air. Which reminds me; why the hell is this room empty?

thank you both for doing this exercise, your contributions were brilliant. :)
