The Georgia Indictments Thread

God, his talks with Putin must have been absolutely inspiring !
Soon or later, that translator will tell us all what was said in Helsinki!
Nobody seems to be concerned with the Pugs idolizing Orban to the point of vising there and inviting him here to their conferences.

“A Show Trial – Are We Next Going to Put Them in Cages and Throw Food at Them?” – Tom Fitton on Fani Willis’s Plan to Hold One Trial with 19 Defendants (VIDEO)

By Jim Hoft Aug. 15, 2023 9:30 am

Judicial Watch founder and president Tom Fitton joined Stuart Varney on Varney and Co. on Tuesday morning following the latest Democrat political indictments against President Trump and 18 colleagues and supporters.

Georgia DA Fani Willis announced last night she was going to put all 19 defendants on trial at the same time like they do in Zimbabwe and the former Soviet Union.

Tom Fitton: This is power politics. Your vote doesn’t count. Your views don’t count if you’re a critic of this regime politics here. They want to make President Trump a political prisoner. And what’s really disturbing is expanding the abuses to innocent citizens down in Georgia who, by all accounts, by her own indictment, were doing nothing other than engaging in electoral politics…

…A show trial. Are we going to next put them in cages in the trial room for people to throw things at? This is not a serious prosecution. It’s serious if you’re on the wrong end of it, as I said. But the idea that a prosecutor in this day and age would think that in the middle of a presidential campaign, it’s appropriate to try to try 19 people at once, three of which she’s indicting for acts they committed as government, federal government officials, as president, as chief of staff, and as a senior official in the Justice Department. What a sham this is.

From Trump's attorneys:

"The events that have unfolded today have been shocking and absurd, starting with the leak of a presumed and premature indictment before the witnesses had testified or the grand jurors had deliberated and ending with the District Attorney being unable to offer any explanation,"

"In light of this major fumble, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office clearly decided to force through and rush this 98-page indictment. This one-sided grand jury presentation relied on witnesses who harbor their own personal and political interests— some of whom ran campaigns touting their efforts against the accused and/or profited from book deals and employment"

Trump said that they should have brought the indictments two and a half years ago.

So which is the official position?

That's BS. This is a political show trial with all of its manifestations. 19 people from all over the country tried at once, on RICO charges, in 6 months no less? Never happen before the election. It's a sham.

As a state trial will it be televised?

It will fun to watch the defense making pretzels out of themselves, trying to disqualify the testimony of other Trump officials.
These charges, if the judge doesn't throw them out first will be obliterated by the defense and if need be by the appeals process.

considering how mark meadows was almost the pivotal member involved in just about everything and closest to trump work-wise, is it strange he's just facing 2 charges? did he, in fact, get some immunity or is this to be expected for his role?

Rico cases are generally tried all together, you dumbass.

But tell us again about your legal acumen. 🤣

Too bad Lindsey Graham is missing from the list.
That's a disappointment, for sure. But his conversations must not have crossed the line into criminal behavior in which case he shouldn't be charged.

i was sure i saw elise stefanik's name last night but clearly i'm mistaken

There are eleven nonindicted (thus far) coconspirators in the indictment. It can be hoped that he's one of those.

i'm hoping there are some other. well-recognised names on that 'unnamed' list, including flynn

having said that, between now and the trial there's bound to be additional information gleaned from the indicted as well as those not yet named as they fight between eachother to lay blame anywhere other than their own shoulders. Perhaps we'll see more indictments and even material relating to other court cases against trump.
