Web cam help

Ok Techie people:kiss:

I have a pannasonic digital minicam that I think should be able to be used as a webcam using a DV interface cable (IEEE 1394), but I have to actually get the cable and the software. I have no idea how this works and what I am looking for. Any suggestions?

Thank you

Try Panasonics home page and look for support. In there you might find a software down load.

here.

Ok, I'll try that.

In the users manual it suggests getting software from Digital Origin or Canopus. I looked and they seem to offer vidoe editing software- really all I want is to be able to use the cam as a webcam . . .

It doesn't per se

It says "a live image can be transfered directly to you PC via a DV interface cable using products and software from Digital Origin or Canopus."

I assumed that meant I could use it as a webcam. Maybe I was wrong:confused:

Find that software, and that should tell you. I'm not sure what that means either w/o reading it myself.

My guess would be between 20 and 25 hours total, maybe more. Some of the puzzles in the game stumped me for a while though, so you may get through it quicker.

I LOVED IT!! Everything about it was great. It is one of the rare games these days that gets better and better as you go along. By the end of the game the plot has come together really nicely and the ending is quite satisfying.

Where are you in the game? There is one sub-mission on a certain level that can easily be missed, but if completed makes your character's magick much more powerful.

I just started I am Ellia at the moment.

You have a while to go. In case we dont speak to each other before that though, I will just let you know this. When you are the explorer, look around that level VERY CAREFULLY, there is a rune on that level that you DONT want to miss.

nice. I have the same graphics card. Just got it about a month ago.

You really need it to play games like Jedi Knight 2, ohterwise could be a little choppy.

Also just got a DVD writer and am starting to play around with that.

Cool game, and I might be getting a DVD burner next year.

Went to a computer show...........

yesterday, it was pretty cool. I was a big room full of tables, at each table there a different vendor. Most people had the same crap, it was just a mattrer of finding the best price. I found 90 min cd's, a cool finger mouse that has a ball that you move with your thumb, and a few other odd and ends. There was one vendor sell Gigabyte motherboards, even the top rated ones. There were lots of no name G-Force 4 vid. cards, a little cheaper, not worth the risk.

I got a cool black multi-media keyboard, a Microsoft optical 4 button mouse w/ wheel, a 5 port PCI USB 2.0 card, and a cool butane wind proof lighter, w/ a bent ignition for my pipe....;)
