yeah I dont blame you .....girls are hard to buy for ...theres alot in my family..I always give the gift cards too;)

Ok, got the sphagetti going. Learned how to cook it couple weeks ago. I'm not much of a cook, so kinda pleased with myself.

While talking to my girls, kinda brought the subject up with their mother, got her to tell me how she used to cook it.

So, voila, Chef Red here!

oh are you going hon:kiss:
end it quietly?

Nope, not leaving.......smiling babe, gosh, it's a beautiful evening here.........just quiet, the smell of cut grass....in a way, I'll hate leaving here.

EdibleEmmie said:
oh Red leaving anywhere is tough....I can relate..believe me:kiss:

Oh, I know babe, moved many times in several states. But, this house is too damn big for me now, too many memories. Due to various other things, nothing to keep me here, although I've come to like the rural atmosphere. I've been selling off stuff for a while. Interested in a drink machine?

EdibleEmmie said:
hmm my condo is too small for a drink maching or gumball machine lol.
I understand the memories part hon. {{{{Red}}}

{{{{Em}}}}

Thank you. I've just come to hate the empty rooms. But, that's neither here nor now.

So, I've been actively downsizing, getting rid of things, just stuff I don't need. This stupid drink machine, I've moved around for years, thinking I would refurbish it..........aaaaaaaaaaaaackkkkk

hmm exact opposite of me ...I have nothing to show for anything. LOL I dont even own my own furniture lol;)

I got in the habit of buying older stuff, generally. Yep, even a used sofa. I mean, if you spill a beer on it ., so what? When the girls left, they took most of the furniture, and, that was ok, cause I wanted them to have things. So, bought dinette set, washer, dryer. Had to buy some lamps, den furniture.......bought cheap stuff, cause I abuse den furniture. I've been looking at my sofa, man, its in tough shape. Maybe to Salvation Army.

Hey, ya gotta do what you gotta do......

hey I agree my little ones are rough on stuff no sense in getting extravagant lol

I agree. The rule was no food or tv in bedrooms....but ok in kitchen and den.

My parents had the perfect living room. If I carried a drink in there......instant death. I was lucky.

They didn't catch me!

EdibleEmmie said:
yea my parents had a load of us...12 and the house was always imaculate believe it or not ...and still is:rolleyes:

TWELVE?

Amazed, kinda here. That sounds like a southern number!

Babe, your mom was a champ!,, course dad was too...........

Irish catholic....she was becoming a nun when they met
they married two months after meeting and are still together

LOL, obviously he turned her from the course of being a nun.

My mom and dad were married almost 57 yrs. prior to her death. Laffing, I'll never make that number.

So your parents and family are in WI?

EdibleEmmie said:
yes they are still in that huge house so its nice to go home

aww you might not make that number but being there for

someone is the main thing even if its just your kids

Smiling at you, pouring you some more french wine. So, do you think you are going to boogie the chicago scene, go back home?

In a way, that's what I am doing.

EdibleEmmie said:
hmm I am gonna stay here I think...so I am looking for employment..they might offer me something here I am not sure

Cool, if that's what you want.......great. Esp. if your boys enjoy it there. I've only known one person near chicago.......he mainly complained about the taxes there.

EdibleEmmie said:
